Project 6-25 Blueprint

How the Blueprint works

Goal

Project 6-25 offers an ‘adaptive programmatic approach’ aimed to deburden the industry by helping them to quickly achieve tangible results through a step-by-step methodology that was designed in close cooperation with all parties throughout the technology value chain.

Main elements within this approach are the application of innovative yet proven technologies, services and financial instruments aiming to support and deburden energy-intensive industries with fast and cost-effective implementation of energy efficiency measures in order to save energy, cost and carbon emissions and improve performance, reliability and safety.

How to use

This Blueprint describes the Programmatic approach. It consists of 5 main steps, as show in the figure:

  1. Engage: connection of end-users, P6-25 and partners;
  2. Identify opportunities: (wide) assessment of carbon and cost saving efficiency opportunities, evaluate and select projects;
  3. Develop project(s): prepare for FID;
  4. Implement project(s): realization;
  5. Monitor & share: monitor results, share lessons learned with P6-25 community and discuss further roll-out with end-user.

It is essential to note that the Blueprint is a guideline for cooperation within P6-25, yet is to be tailored to each specific situation, depending on the needs of parties involved and topics at hand.

Start

Introduction

The system of the Blueprint is set-up for easy navigation in:

  • The 5 phases and steps within each phase;
  • Topic specific descriptions, information and tools.

1

Engage

The goal of the Engage phase is to create a cooperation between an end-user, P6-25 and relevant partners that aims for implementing energy reduction measures.

2

Identify Opportunities

The main goal of the Identify opportunities phase is to determine, preferably at site level, feasible energy savings potential and project them in a road map. Based on this, preparations are made to take one ore more projects to the next phase (‘Develop projects’).

3

Develop Project(s)

The goal of the Develop project(s) phase is to bring the selected projects from the Identify phase to FID.

4

Implement Project(s)

The goal of the Implement project(s) phase is to realize the solutions at the site.

5

Monitor & Share

In this Phase, P6-25 assists with the evaluation, with a knowledge sharing platform/structure and re-engages with the end-users (back to Phase 2b).
