Each spring and fall, millions of birds are migrating across North America between summer breeding grounds and tropical overwintering habitat. In the Great Lakes, neotropical migrants pass by, often undetected - unless we know where and how to find them. Understanding of this global phenomenon is taking off as technology gives us clues about what happens during migration and how humans are impacting these birds.
