Not enough kind things to say about Professor Arents. Exceeded all expectations for an async class, I swear you will learn something! Professor Arents is very accessible over email or to meet on zoom. Has genuine interest in what we say or think about the topics and gives great feedback on submissions. No one runs async classes like Prof Arents!

Jerica is fine but if you're taking Voices in War/Peace/Conflict the description isn't accurate. The entire class is just about Islamophobia and is biased towards her personal beliefs. She doesn't give information about colonialism, origins of religion, just requires you to answer questions based on her own thoughts which are at times misleading.

amazing professor!! take her if you want a SUPER easy class, a caring teacher, and actually wanna learn. you just have to do the work and youll get a 100 on every assignment. super nice and passionate. weekly discussion and quiz and only 2 other assignments that were super short and easy. super chill class take her very easy A.

solid choice! truly cares and v passionate. was online so it was a little more work that i expected but still very easy grader and you just have to get it done. one video discussion and quiz/ worksheet a week. one easy midterm paper and one final. chill class!

Very informative class and incredibly interesting. Personally, I need detailed structure on what is wanted, so I fell short a few times on quizzes. Papers were incredibly easy and short.

Jerica is an amazing professor. She really cares if her students are doing well and appreciating her lectures. Every week there is a quiz and discussion, but both are very easy and not too time-consuming. Outside of this, there are two papers (no more than six pages), one of which counts as the final. Overall a pretty simple and interesting class.

Great class and professor! Very clear grading criteria, I definitely recommend taking this class with this professor. All of the asynchronous work was doable and not overwhelming.

She treats all of her students like they are her own children, so respectful and caring. I've taken two classes with her now, a must if you're in the PAX program! Very easy grader and cares more about your personal development.

Professor Arents is great! Her online class was super organized and she was very understanding amidst the pandemic. This class was simple as long as you put in a minimal amount of work each week. Homework assignments are pretty short and sweet.

Jerica is the greatest professor I have taken at DePaul. She is so intelligent and experienced in her field and creates the most positive and respectful classroom environments. She is an incredible lecturer, provides compelling readings and creates engaging lessons. I learned so much from this course.

Jerica is AMAZING! This was my first PAX class and I was in awe. Such great, meaningful discussions. Jerica is one of the most approachable professors I have ever had, she cares so much for her students and wants them to not just succeed in her class, but succeed in society. Easy course, but you learn so much about activism and yourself

She's literally life changing; I've never loved a professor more. She's super fun and while her classes can deal with some heavy issues, I always enjoyed being in her class.

I had Jerica for PAX 212 (Racism and White Supremacy in the U.S.) and I would take ANY class with her again in a heartbeat! She is hands down one of the most engaging and caring professors I have ever had. She really takes the time to get to know her students and develop personal connections with all of them! Professor Arent's is one of the most inspirational people that I have ever met. She is also my favorite professor at DePaul. All of the classes she teaches are amazing and you actually learn something. PAX 220 was super easy. You have a short paper (2 pages) due every week and one 6 page paper due at the end of the class.

Amazing teacher! Absolutely loved her whiteness and privilege class. She challenges students to reflect on their position in the world. She is a vital component to DePaul--she challenges racism and hate.

Jerica is the kindest professor I've had at DePaul. I took her Whiteness & Privilege course and our in-class discussions and exercises were phenomenal. I always felt free to be honest and true to my own beliefs. Only graded assignments were papers that she grades on a credit or no credit scale.

Jerica is really great! Very passionate with such a loving energy. You will learn a lot from her class! Amazing readings and discussion every session! She works with her students too which is so appreciative. Understanding with grading also. I wish I could have taken more classes with her! The meditation exercise on interconnection was POWERFUL!

Jerica is an absolute gem, if you have a chance to take any of her classes I strongly encourage you to do so. she inspired me to add a double major in pax and focus on my own personal growth which is not typical in a classroom setting. reflections due each week & a final paper, but I genuinely enjoyed the readings & the questions she asked. 11/10!!
