Rate this book
She’s looking for adventure in the West, but discovers more. He’s sure he’ll never find love, until she lands at his door. Together, Gabriella and Dirk will discover a spark that even a blizzard can’t quench.

Gabriella Grimaldi is new to Whiskey River—a quiet frontier town, where those who dream of a different life gather under the big, open sky. Escaping a life of faux friends and duty, Gabriella forsakes her life of fortune and runs away. What she gets instead is an education in the ways of the world.

Not far from town, Dirk Price is settling in for another long winter in Whiskey River, when a lost young woman shows up at his door. In the light of the fireside, Gabriella and Dirk find themselves unfreezing their chilly hearts and protecting one another against not only the cold, but from evil forces. Can they let love in, or will they turn away from happiness when danger knocks at the door?

In the depths of winter under the weight of a blizzard, return to the sleepy, snowy banks of Whiskey River, Wyoming, in A Whiskey River Princess.

I rarely read historical romance novels. I lobe history; but I love my novels to be in the time of indoor plumbing. I did enjoy this book. Between Dirk and Gabriella, they pulled me in and kept me flipping the pages. I lobe that Dirk was so protective and that Gabriella had a willingness to learn new things. Because I haven’t read too many historical romance novels I can’t say wether the author kept true to the time period, but from and enjoyability frame, I think she did an awesome job. There are a few secondary that I would love to see more from and would be willing to read more from this author. 4 stars #2OCCJD

A Whiskey River Princess is the third book in this series by Theresa Oliver and it lives up to its predecessors. The inhabitants of Whiskey River have really grown on me and I was immediately enticed with Gabriella and Dirk. These books are standalone but they are more fun if read in order. So glad to see Dirk get his HEA. Gabriella is a real princess who no longer wants to be pampered and waited on, or to marry for the hierarchy so she runs away from home. The story of how she gets to Whiskey River and how Dirk and her fall in love will entertain and captivate you. Imagine going from palace life to pioneer living with all of its primitive surroundings. This story and characters will pull you in and you will not want to put it down.

Princess Gabriella of Monaco runs away from the cushy, soul crushing life she’s led and heads for the wilds of Wyoming where she meets steady, handsome rancher Dirk as she evades a trio of loathsome kidnappers. What follows is the sweetest romance and an awesome adventure. I couldn’t put it down as it raced to it’s gratifying conclusion as another Whiskey River Bride finds her soulmate. A beautiful must read.

Whiskey River Princess

Loved it! It was sweet and heartwarming! I loved the characters they were feisty, independent and just fun to read. I really enjoyed the story with a dash of danger, a sprinkle of romance and a whole lot of adventure.
A must read if you’re a fan of the series or if you enjoyed historical romances.

What it must be like to live the life most would die for, you have money, someone waiting on you hand and foot, you are a princess and have it all. What goes along with that is demands, no private life, someone telling you what to do and who to marry. Which leads to the next question what do you do when you have it all but doesn’t want it? Well of course you run off to Whiskey River and start a new life where you can grow, be who you truly are and find love. Gabriella might be a princess, but she doesn’t want that life she wants a normal life and runs off to Wyoming where there is free and open space and a cowboy just waiting for her.

As is a norm for this author she gives you a very entertaining ready from a heartwarming romance to the excitement of a new life running the hills and smelling the roses as you go. The plot is wonderful, the characters even better, I fell in love with them from the first pages. The twists and turns were exciting along with the trouble Gabriella gets into. She is pampered and spoiled, but she wants so much more out of life. Dirk is a cowboy who stole my heart he is sweet, kind and caring. When Gabriella shows up he takes her in, helps her, cares for her and falls head over heels for her. I thought it was an exciting read with wonderful twists and turns, danger, smiles, excitement, I thought a believable story that holds your attention and keeps you invested. It is well written with delightful characters that made me smile. Gabriella and Dirk go together so well, they have chemistry and really balance each other out. I have really enjoyed this series and can’t wait for the next one to take me away back to a time when everyday life was exciting and dangerous.

This is the third book in the series. While they could probably be read as standalones I recommend reading them in order. This was another hit. I can’t get enough of this series. This one has more danger and is a bit more emotional. Gabriella is a Princess of Monaco. She is tired on living this sheltered life. Where everything is done for her. So while in New York she decides to lose her detail and runaway. Dirk owns the livery in Whiskey River. He was married once but that didn’t last long after moving west. He loves Whiskey River and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. Things get interesting when Dirk finds Gabriella almost frozen on his front porch. He wants to know what she was doing out there in a blizzard and how she found her way to his house. Gabriella goes through a trying time. She didn’t realize how hard living in the west would be. She is out of her element for sure. But it doesn’t stop her from trying. She is willing to learn what she doesn’t know and Dirt is more than willing to help her learn. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. This is a great series. The characters are fantastic and so is the town. I love how simple times where back then. I recommend this series if you like westerns.
I was given this book in return for an honest review.

Gabriella is the 16th in line for the throne so she has many responsibilities. She knows she is spoiled and pampered so she decides to run off. She gets herself into some trouble but luckily Dirk is there to help her. Dirk owns the livery stable and his own ranch. He is incredibly kind and patient to her, especially since she knows absolutely nothing. They both are slow to trust because of their pasts and together they are adorable, funny, and perfect for each other. I really loved them both and really want to see a story for the Sheriff soon!!!!

I loved reading this book! A sweet story with I loved the characters , good guys, bad guys, and wonderful woman. I really enjoyed the story that has just a bit of danger, a little romance and a whole lot of adventure. A princess on the run and a man hurt by an ex wife who ran off leaving him for a "civilized" place . Gabriella and Dirk are a wonderful couple and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this book.

An exciting early American historical novel, with a Princess, kidnaping attempts, gun fights and finding love in the snow.

When a princess rebels and runs away to country America she doesn’t anticipate being kidnaped, running away and finding shelter with a lovely man who teaches her about life in the country.
How can she help but fall for him, but what of her life as a princess that she will return to when the snow melts?

Dirk and Gabriella

Dirk was the owner of a ranch and the livery in Whiskey River. Gabriella was the runaway Princess of Monaco. She is kidnapped to be held for ransom from her Uncle, but she escapes. She finds her way to Dirks house and he takes her in. He's a handsome divorce and she's a beautiful young single woman. Will sparks fly? Will they find their happily ever after? You will enjoy this exciting and loving story.

Loving this series, so very well written. The characters become more real and in depth with each story. Loved the intensity of the story and the fluidity of it. Truly a great story which is great read as the series but stands strong on its own as well.

I love Gabriella and Dirk's story. I think Gabriella's reluctance to tell Dirk her story did not really make much difference in how it all would have played out. I'm not much of a crier but the end of this book pulled them out of me. Looking forward to more in the series.

An Awesome Romance

I enjoyed this fairytale romance. The princess ran away from her duties and responsibilities and found one problem after another. But she also found herself.
