The survey covers topics such as contraception, reproductive health symptoms (like erectile dysfunction), fatherhood, fertility, sexual health, body image, sexual enjoyment and relationships. The survey can be found here: https://snapsurvey.phe.org.uk/snapwebhost/s.asp?k=152337649877

  1. Join the ‘what matters to you’ conversation
‘What matters to you’ day on 6 June 2018 aims to encourage and support more meaningful conversations between people who provide health and social care and the people who receive that care. It also provides the opportunity to raise the profile of person-centred conversations. Or, if you’re already working in this way, an opportunity to celebrate the positive impact that this has on the lives of people you care for. You can register and order resources on NHSE’s website. Please email england.wmty@nhs.uk with any enquiries, or join the twitter conversation by using #WMTY2018

  1. Register to become a stakeholder in one of NHS England’s clinical reference groups
Clinical Reference Groups (CRGs) are an integral part of bringing together groups of clinicians, commissioners, public health experts, patients and carers. They use their specific knowledge and expertise to advise NHS England on the best ways that specialised services should be provided.
Registration is open for all stakeholders, including patients, carers, service users, members of the public, clinical staff, provider organisations working in specialised services and voluntary sector partners.
On registration you will be asked to tell us about yourself and your interest areas. This information will be held by the specialised services team and will not be used for any other purpose. If you have a disability or for any reason have difficulty in registering as a stakeholder online, or if you would like your details removed from the stakeholder register, please contact the membership team at england.voice-crg@nhs.net.

  1. Nursing Associate consultation – your views needed
The Nursing and Midwifery Council is currently consulting on the standards and requirements for a new nursing profession called Nursing Associates. They would like to hear your views on what skills and knowledge you think this new support role should have to be able to deliver safe and effective care for you and your family.
Find out more and take part in the consultation (closes 2nd July).

  1. Launch of personal health budget and integrated personal budget consultation
The Department of Health and Social Care and NHS England have launched a consultation on extending the legal rights to have a personal health budget or integrated personal budget. The consultation runs until 8 June 2018. Following the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care’s speech on social care reform last month, the consultation seeks views on extending rights to a range of people, including those with social care and health needs, people accessing mental health services, and armed forces personnel who are leaving services and eligible for ongoing NHS care.

  1. LGBT+ Sex and Lifestyles Survey
Researchers at LJMU are looking for LGBT+ people, or anyone who has sex with someone of the same gender, to take part in their anonymous survey, researching the sex and lifestyles of LGBT+ people.
The survey will take around 15 minutes to complete and there is the opportunity to enter a prize draw to win a £50 Amazon voucher, or one of two runner up prizes of £25.

  1. Online consultations: an alternative way to have a consultation from your GP – surveys now open for your views
Online Consultations are a way for patients to contact their GP practice without having to wait on the phone or take time out to come into the practice. Using a smartphone, tablet or computer, you can contact your practice about a new problem or an ongoing issue. You can ask questions or tell your GP about your symptoms. The practice will ensure your contact is dealt with by the right person in the team, helping ensure you are served as quickly and appropriately as possible. Sometimes this will mean you will need a phone call with the GP or nurse, or an appointment at the practice, and this will be arranged as usual.
Lots of people are already using practice websites to make an appointment, get test results, order a repeat prescription or to view their summary records, so this is a simply a further service being made available to current systems.
NHSE want to find out what you think about using online consultation with your GP practice (not about hospital appointments).
This short survey should take less than 10 minutes to complete and is open from Tuesday 08 May and closes on Friday 15 June 2018.
You can find out much more about the programme on the NHS England website – including a link to an online survey to share your views www.england.nhs.uk/ocsf/
For more details about this research project, email england.onlineconsultation@nhs.net.

nation’s most loved institutions, and what better way to celebrate than with a cup of tea?

to celebrate. It will be the moment where everyone can get involved in the 70th celebrations
by sharing a welcome cup and their stories of thanks, while raising some money for one of

The King's Fund was commissioned by the Department of Health to conduct research that would explore how and why clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) and local authorities chose to engage with the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector. This report first sets out the methodology which was used and then presents our findings on the factors that underpin the adoption of different approaches.
