America's Got Talent: Singer Drake Milligan and saxophonist Avery Dixon advance to the Finals as NINE acts are eliminated in the Results Show

Country singer Drake Milligan and Saxophonist Avery Dixon were the top two contestants that were voted on to the finals on Wednesday night's live hour result show on America's Got Talent on NBC.

Milligan, 24, from Nashville who performed an original song Kiss Goodbye All Night for his performance that went straight to the charts and Dixon, 21, a Golden Buzzer winner from Atlanta that wowed the judges and the audience with his soulful performance, will be two of the contestants competing in the finals for the $1 million dollar prize and for the opportunity to headline a show in Vegas.

'It's a amazing,' Milligan said. 'You guys have already changed my life forever. I will always come back.'

'I feel like you are America's Got Talent biggest success story already,' Heidi Klum, 49, said. 'You have only performed twice and both songs are number one.'

Avery threw his hand up in the air when Host Terry Crews, 53, announced he was also moving on to the finals. Howie Mandel, 66, told Avery that despite what happened in the finals that he was already a winner.

'You have changed your life, you have changed your world and we love you,' Howie said to him.

Comedian Don McMillan from Santa Clarita, California who used a PowerPoint to tell his jokes, made it to the top three before he was eliminated. Simon Cowell, 62, was shocked when Don made it to the top five.

'I'm really happy for you, but I am also upset,' Simon said.

'You guys make me full of joy,' Don said to the audience.

When Avery made the top five, Sofia Vergara, 49, wasn't surprised.

'What can I say we all fell in love with you,' Sofia said.

The other top five contestants were Amoukanama, a dance group from Guinea, West Africa and Players Choir, a group of former pro footballers, who wore matching cardigans.

Comedian Lace Larrabee, a former beauty queen, from Marietta, Georgia; Contortionist Oleksandr Yenivatov from Ukraine; Colombian Dance duo Stefanny and Yeremy; Ava Swiss, from Oxford, Michigan, Comedian Ben Lapidus from Doylestown, Pennsylvania; and Amazing Veranica Tchalabaeva, 12, from Oxford, Florida were eliminated

Last year's magician winner Dustin Tavella, 36, from Philadelphia performed his act on the show with Sofia and her former Modern Family co-star Sarah Hyland, 31, joined him on stage. Sofia picked up a popsicle stick that said 'Dream' on it, the same word that matched what was written on the back of a sign on stage.

Host Terry Crews asked him how things had changed for him since he won the competition.

'It's been absolutely incredible,' Dustin said.

Sarah spoke about the Love Island USA show on Peacock that she is hosting.

'Tomorrow night we have a recoupling and it is going to be dramatic and juicy,' Sarah said. 'We'll see some tears.'

The judges also played a game of Password, a new show on NBC starring Jimmy Fallon. Simon and Howie won the guessing game 3 to 2.

America's Got Talent will return on Monday night on NBC.
