Postgraduate Study
Have you achieved or are due to achieve a bachelor's degree but still not sure what you want to do?
Why not consider postgraduate study?
Postgraduate study is further higher education; this is above bachelors' study and is also referred to as a ‘Masters’ degree/qualification. Postgraduate degrees/certificates tend to be for a period of one year and in most cases are specifically related to the subject of your bachelor's degree. Having a postgraduate degree looks very good on student's CVs as they represent the commitment a student has put in to further their knowledge and experience in a subject. Here at BCU we will support you on your journey to achieving a postgraduate degree, helping with funding and placements. We will also help you choose the desired degree.
It's also important to remember that some courses require postgraduate study too!
For more advice on postgraduate studies you can book an appointment and speak a member of the Careers+ team.
Self - Employment
It may seem risky but becoming self employed is one of the most rewarding careers for risk - taking, creative and confident individuals. If you seek independence and being your own boss, self employment could be for you.
About nine percent of students in university run a business as a side hustle and two per cent of UK graduates decide to become their own boss directly after graduation
