Denis Phelan

The death has occurred of Denis Phelan, Ballydotia, Moycullen, Co. Galway, suddenly and unexpectedly on the 5th of March 2021. Sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Nora, sons Cian and Donnchadh, daughter Áine, granddaughter Sienna, Cian's partner Erin, daughter in law Zara, Áine's partner Adam, sisters Orla and Fiona, extended family, work colleagues, neighbours and many friends. Denis will be fondly remembered by Cumann Liathróid Laimhe, Maigh Cuilinn and the wider hand ball community.

Denis' funeral cortege will leave his home in Ballydotia to arrive at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Moycullen for a private Funeral Mass on Wednesday the 10th of March, at 12 noon with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House private. Family flowers only.

Due to ongoing government restrictions and public health guidelines around social gatherings, the funeral will be held privately. In line with the family’s wishes, anybody attending the Mass will be on a list compiled by them to help with contact tracing, as recommended by government guidelines. If you choose to attend the burial or stand in a guard of honour, please maintain social distancing and avoid hand shaking for the safety of all in attendance.
