Promoting whole school health and wellbeing
Outline
For schools wishing to join or re-join the Wiltshire Healthy Schools Programme; to gain accreditation for the first time, or to renew previous accreditation.
Description
This course will:
- inform participants about the current standards for the Wiltshire Healthy Schools Programme at Bronze, Silver & Gold levels
- provide a framework for a whole school approach to improving health & wellbeing
- enable schools to gain Healthy Schools accreditation (valid for three years on completion)
- provide an opportunity to hear from other organisations who support and work with Wiltshire schools
Outcomes
By the end of the course delegates will:
- be able to identify the key actions to promote health and wellbeing.
- be able to audit their school wellbeing provision.
- know how to apply for Healthy Schools accreditation
