 How to make a Sunflower

Scissors Glue Ruler Pencil A glass or a cup to draw round about 8 or 9 cm wide. A glass or a cup to draw round about 6 or 7 cm wide.

Take the yellow paper. On the short side measure 2cm in from the edge with a ruler.

Draw a line to make a strip with your pencil.

You will need to do this 8 times.  Each strip will measure 2cm.

Using your scissors cut the 8 strips out.

You will have 8 strips all the same. As shown in the last picture above.

HOW TO MAKE&#160; A SUNFLOWER

Take your green paper again. On the same edge you cut from before measure 10cm in from the edge with a ruler.

Take your smaller glass or cup and your brown paper. Draw round. As shown in the picture. Take your scissors and cut out.

Draw a leaf shape on both pieces you have just cut out. See the picture above.

Using your scissors cut out your 2 leaves.

Put glue on one side of the green strip. Take your background paper.

And stick the green strip to the short edge as shown in the picture above.

You will take each of the strips and put glue on one end.

You will then bend the ends together so they stick. You may need to hold them together for a few seconds. As shown above. Making sure you DO NOT fold the other end. You just want it to bend to make a loop. As shown in the last picture. You will have 18 loops.

Take your background paper that has the stem on and stick your leaves on as shown in the pictures above. Positioning one a little bit higher than the other one.

Take the other 8 loops. Glue them in the same way. Arrange them following the pictures below. You may need to hold these ones for a few seconds longer.

Take your larger glass or cup and your yellow paper. Draw round. As shown in the picture. Take your scissors and cut out.

Take the green paper. On the short side measure 2cm in from the edge with a ruler.

Take your brown circle and put glue all over one side. Now take your flower and glue your circle in the middle of your flower. As shown in the picture above.

Paper or card (you can use white paper and colour it in or use other materials like wool, feathers and buttons ect). 1 x A4 of a bright colour for the background 1 x A5 of green 1 x A4 of yellow. 1 x A5 of brown paper or something else that is brown that you would like to use for the centre of the flower.

Take your yellow circle and put glue all over one side. Now take your flower and glue your circle on to the top of the stem with the centre of the circle approximately at the top of the stem. As shown in the picture.

You are now going to take your loops. Glue one end. As shown in the picture.

Start with 8 loops. Arrange them following the pictures to the right.

Fold all of your 8 strips in half. As shown to the left.

You will have 16 smaller strips all the same. As shown in the picture to the right.

You have now completed making your Sunflower.
