Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction

Supply Chain Opportunity 2: Rotating Equipment Efficiency and Fuel Consumption Improvements

Programme Background

ETZ Ltd has engaged with nineteen United Kingdom Continental Shelf (UKCS) oil and gas operators and identified key greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions challenge areas that are being presented to the supply chain as opportunities on a quarterly basis over a one year period.

In response to the published opportunities, supply chain companies with an operational presence in North East Scotland are invited to propose existing products and services that can materially contribute to reducing operators’ GHG emissions and help meet UK net zero targets.

Past Opportunities

Supply Chain Opportunity 1 - Flaring and Venting Reduction

In line with the Oil and Gas Authority (OGA) Strategy which came into force in February 2021, there is a need to significantly reduce GHG emissions from sources such as flaring and venting.

ETZ Ltd ran the first pitch session of their Greenhouse Gas Emissions Programme in January 2022. Ten supply chain companies presented their flaring and venting reductions solutions to an audience of operators and industry bodies.
