About this app

The Bookcase for Tolerance is a project by the Anne Frank House that aims to counter prejudice and discrimination by sharing Anne Frank’s story and modern-day, authentic, personal stories and struggles.

In this AR app, we invite you to step inside a carefully 3D-rendered model of the rooms of Anne Frank, Kuei, Mees, Dalit, and Majd, where you can walk around, explore their personal objects and the meaning behind them.

For a more immersive experience, turn on the sound and listen to the protagonists’ testimonials about antisemitism, racism, inequality, and prejudice.

By sharing personal stories of young people who face intolerance in their daily lives, we hope to change the perception towards those who are considered "different".

All so we can live in a more tolerant world. A world without discrimination.
