Established in 1937, for over 85 years our members continue on with the tradition of fostering the education of camellia care, propagation and exhibition for generations. The diverse career background and knowledge of our members is what makes the Pensacola Club exceptional as we share our passion about Camellias.
On the third Tuesday of the month, our Club meetings offer speakers and demonstrations with many opportunities for hands-on experiences. The 2024-2025 Camellia Season begins in September and goes through April with programs on camellias care, gibbing, propagation through air-layering and grafting, and bloom harvesting for competing in shows to produce winners.
This season we are excited to host the Gulf Coast Camellia Society Conference on October 18th & 19th against the stunning backdrop of Pensacola Beach at the Holiday Inn Beach Resort. This kickoff event for the camellia season, promises the perfect blend of learning and leisure with fellow camellia lovers.
Our Fall Camellia Inventory will have over 200 different Camellia varieties for you to expand your collection. Will be selling at Palafox Market, at St. Christopher’s Arts and Craft Show Dec 6th and at various events throughout the season. December 14th will be our 86th Annual Camellia Flower Show at Jean & Paul Amos Performance Studio located at 1000 College Boulevard, Pensacola, Florida. In addition to the show, we will have camellia plants for sale.
Check out our ‘Events Calendar’ and ‘Activities’ which provides opportunities for you to join in the camaraderie of members sharing their love for ‘The Winter Rose, Camellia’. Meetings are held at the Pensacola Garden Center, located at 1850 N 9th Avenue in Pensacola, Florida. Social begins at 6:30 pm followed by the program at 7:00 pm.
