Two-Year Product Technology Centre Science Graduate Scheme with The Nestlé Academy

Job Description

What can you expect?

At our Nestlé Product Technology Centre in York, we create iconic confectionery products that are enjoyed all over the world. Just because we have a globally successful product such as KitKat, doesn’t mean we stop exploring groundbreaking science and innovating amazing new products. The way our products taste, smell, feel and look is all down to people like you. You’ll be working with markets all around the world as well as with our strategic business units and you’ll be supported by a team of scientific experts mentoring and coaching you.

We’ll start you out with two amazing years on a specific project with an opportunity to influence the confectionery business. That’s six months in our core Science team working at the front end of innovation, then moving into our product groups with nine months in KitKat and nine months in Chocolate Innovation. You’ll be working with some real household name brands and you’ll have the chance to experience product development, science & technology, project management and innovation roles, all whilst developing your personal leadership.

You’ll also be leading projects under the guidance of the best in our business working on innovation that will come to define our future products. Think Design and Innovation. Think top-level support as you work with experts with years of experience and knowledge, including those in the pilot plant and professional confectioners. And when that’s done, you’ll pair your learning with external insight to give detailed feedback to key stakeholders. It’s about putting your learning into practice and linking with our commercial teams to get a real understanding of our business from bean all the way to bar.

About Us

Nestlé Academy has built its reputation as a continual innovator over a history of more than a century and a half.
So for an ambitious Science Graduate, it really is the best of both worlds.
A safe, secure business with which to build a successful career but, also, the kind of employer that encourages you to try new ways of doing things.

That’s why we’re now looking for people who love exploring ideas. Does that sound like you?
For example, have you been weighing up which of the world’s biggest brands could get your career off to the best start, now that you’ve graduated or will be graduating soon?
That bold, impressive ability to look critically at your choices is just what we want to see from the next generation of Nestlé innovators.

Get ready to move forward fast as you drive innovation and results.
