Today for the Unity Stamp Company Instagram hop, I am sharing a bit of shimmer using foiling with holiday stamping.  This card has a monochromatic look and shimmers beautifully in person.

It is difficult to photograph foil shimmer, but this is a peek.

2 Cards ~ Toner card front laminator foiling, stamping & die-cuts

Today, I am sharing two cards.  These were made using Unity stamps and coordinating dies along with deco foil and toner card fronts.  We are also participating in an Instagram hop with Unity and Therm-o-Web.  Head over to @neatnook on Instagram to play along or to get lots of creative inspiration.

Sentiments:
Congrats.  This calls for a celebration!
Beautiful wishes.

Helpful tips:

Here are helpful tips for making these cards.  First, trim and score the card bases and the toner card front panels.  Next, stamp, watercolor and fussy cut the flowers and leaves for accents.  Also, trim a patterned paper accent piece for the beautiful card.  Preheat your laminator.  Next, stamp the two big words plus smaller sentiments onto cardstock.  Then, die-cut around the big words with the coordinating dies.  Also, die-cut the narrow outline word layers three or four times per word on white cardstock.  Then, adhere 3 or 4 narrow outline layers together for dimension.  Next, layer the white stacked outline words over the thicker stamped corresponding words for a wonky abstract look.  Then, foil the trimmed toner card fronts using a laminator and foil sheets.  Finally, layer everything onto the card front, to finish.

Here is another card version:

I made a video tutorial showing the process for this project.

Also, cardstock, scissors, scoring board, Fiskars paper trimmer, Altenew watercolor, Ranger watercolor paper, My Favorite Things stitched scallop basic edges & stitched basic edges die-namics, premium dye ink in poppin' pink and jalapeno popper.

Remember that there is an Instagram hop going on.

Foiling 4 Holiday Cards Deco Foil Toner Card Fronts ~ Tutorial

Hi there.  For today, I am sharing four different Christmas and holiday cards using the new co-branded Deco Foil / Unity toner card fronts along with stamping.  This was a joy to do.  The toner card fronts work perfectly with laminator foiling.

This is the set of cards, all together.  I used four different colors of Deco Foil sheets for them.

Sentiment:  Warm hugs.

This gold ornament card was made using gold deco foil along with Copic markers.  I suggest adding color first and then add foil.  This helps to prevent damage to the marker nibs from the foiling.  All of the supplies are listed at the bottom of this post.  The florals give the look of garland.

Sentiment:  Peace on Earth

Here is a card using red foil with added Copics for the leaves accent.

Sentiment:  Merry & Bright

Here is a monochromatic card in blue foil and accented with a sentiment and a blue card base.

Sentiment:  Grateful for you this Christmas

And, finally, this green foil Christmas tree card shimmers beautifully.  I added the sentiment along with a green card base.

Supplies:  Unity Stamp Co. Christmas Wishes, Start Anew and Glimmering Greetings stamps, plus Deco Foil Toner Card Fronts Gifts A Plenty, Holiday Lights, Ornate Ornaments and Flurry Forest;  My Creative Time Rectangle Frame Die Layers; cardstock, double-sided flat and foam tape, Misti stamping tool, laminator, Deco Foil sheets in red, blue, green and gold.
Copic markers:
Warm Hugs card, YR14, YR23, Y21, YG0000, R27, R02, G28, G03, YG13,0, E13, E11.
Peace on Earth card, G28, G17, G16, G07, G03, YG03, YG13, R27, R02, 0.

Thank you for visiting.  Have a wonderful day.

Winter night sky color burst watercolor card with trees.

Here is a winter card scene with a nighttime sky and embossed trees.  This is a peaceful snow scene.

Sentiment:  May the blessings of the season fill your heart and home.

For this card, I began by stamping and heat embossing in white onto watercolor paper and then die-cutting.  Also, I stamped and die-cut the sentiment.  Next, I added watercolor with Color Burst powders, using the emboss resist technique.  Then, I heat set each color layer.  Finally, everything was assembled to finish.

Here is a closer look.

Supplies:  Unity Stamp Co. Alpine Wonderland and More Sparkle, Less Stress; foam tape, My Creative Time More Stitched Rectangular Dies and Pretty Gift Card Holder dies; watercolor brush, Ken Oliver watercolor paper and Color Burst powders in field day, blueberry and grape jelly; white embossing powder, VersaMark ink, heat tool, Misti and Ranger jet black archival ink.

Mailbox themed kindness card ~ Letters For Henry

There is a beautiful story of a postal worker named Henry.  So to spread kindness honoring him, I am sharing a postage themed mailbox card.
It was suggested that when you send someone you love a card, share it with the hashtag #lettersforhenry online so that the family can see posts in his memory.

Sentiment:  Kindness changes everything.

For this card, I decided to create my own background with repeat stamping of one of the postage stamps.  Then, I added the mailbox and the sentiment.  Copic markers were used for color.  I love the nostalgic look of the mailbox.

I made a quick video tutorial showing the process for this project.

Here is another look.

For more about Henry's story by another crafter, see the very end of the post HERE dated 2-10-18.
It was the story of Henry Groeneveld, a mail carrier for the US Postal service, who vanished before Christmas last year. Sadly, last month they found his body. He seemed like such a kind, sweet man - and his daughter said since he was 8 years old, he wanted to be a mailman and that he loved his job. As a kid, he'd make his parents stop at every post office in every town they traveled through. He was someone who had found his calling, and that's so rare and such a treasure. And the fact that his calling is something I love dearly just connected me to the story in a very personal way. I had really hoped for a different ending.
There's a discussion group for the podcast, and his story more than all the others really touched people and generated a lot of conversation. His daughter is in the group and she asked me if I'd share a request with you. Since Henry's passion lines up so much with mine - I couldn't help but ask you if you could do something kind for his family the next time you go to send a card to someone. She would love to see the photos on the hashtag below - Instagram, Twitter or Facebook.

It would honor my dad if you mailed a letter to somebody
you love. It would be beautiful to see a picture of your
letters posted with the hashtag #lettersforhenry

Unity is donating a portion of proceeds to charity.

Supplies:  Unity Stamp Co. Letters For HenryMy Creative Time dies, distress oxide ink in fossilized amber, makeup brush, Copic markers Y13, R27, BG10, BG0000, BG53, B05, B14; foam tape.

Here is a sweet square shaped card with a girl and lamb in Copics.

We have an Insta Hop over on Instagram @neatnook so go take a look and hop along with us there.  Look for the Unity graphic for the hop details.

Sentiment:  It's a good day to be happy.

For this sweet card, I made my own card base by attaching two die-cut pieces of mint green cardstock.  Then, I added the stamped panel with the Copic coloring.  This is an easy way to make a card with a shape like a square, circle, oval, star, etc.

I made a quick video tutorial showing the process for this project.

Here is a bright and cheerful birthday card for today.

We have an Insta Hop over on Instagram @neatnook so go take a look and hop along with us there.  Look for the Unity graphic for the hop details.

Sentiment:  Happy birthday to you.

The small square top panel was stamped using the Misti and the Wreath Builder Template by Gina K. Designs.  I stamped in VersaMark ink and then heat embossed in white by section.  The video will show how you partially stamp one section, rotate the paper inside the wreath builder template according to where you want the stamping.
After the stamping, I added ink blending with distress oxide ink along with a makeup brush.

Sweet gifts ~ Unity + My Sweet Petunia blog hop

Hi, it's Gaylynn here.  Unity Stamp Co. and My Sweet Petunia are collaborating for the start of the Brown Thursday release and blog hop.
We are also joining forces for a separate insta hop on Instagram.

Sentiment:  Special Delivery.

Lately, it seems that gift cards and cash are what is requested for gifts.  And so I like to dress them up a bit.  I die-cut a little gift box from double-sided paper and then trimmed a piece of paper to wrap around the box.  The wrap portion slides up or down.  The mouse was a perfect decoration for this little gift box.

Here is the gift card holder box video tutorial.

And here is another look.

I also made a holiday angel card with a night scene.

Sentiment:  May your Christmas be a time of joy and peace.

The background was pre-colored using Brusho watercolor.  The Brusho technique can be found here.
For this card, I share how easily stamping can be using the Misti stamping tool.

Here is the holiday angel card video tutorial.

Holiday fox gold foil card ~ Unity + Beth Duff Designs blog hop.

Hi, it's Gaylynn here.  Unity Stamp Co. and Beth Duff Designs are collaborating for a brand new release and blog hop.
We are also joining forces for a separate insta hop on Instagram.

Sentiment:  Missing you this holiday season.

I am sharing a sweet holiday card made with adhesive foil and stamping.  The gold sheets have a peel away adhesive backing.  Sometimes I peel it away and other times I leave on the backing for extra thickness depending on the project.
Stamping with StazOn ink works for me.  But I have not tested many other inks on this paper.

I framed the circle with die-cut glitter paper.  Then, I trimmed a frame for the sentiment using black lace.  I really like the gold and black against the white card base.

And here is another look.

Supplies: Unity Stamp Co. Serenity Is Peace, My Creative Time dies, Silhouette gold adhesive sheets, StazOn ink, lace and gold cording.

Denim Cards ~ Unity and Brutus Monroe Blog Hop

Hi, it's Gaylynn here.  The Unity Stamp Co. and Brutus Monroe design teams are collaborating for a brand new release and blog hop.  I am sharing two sweet cards made with denim stamping and each with a totally different look.  We are also joining forces for a separate insta hop on Instagram.

Sentiment:  With Love.

My first project is a sweet winter card featuring a bunny and trees along with background stamping using the Dance With Denim stamp, using a kraft color ink.  I wanted to create the look of a path or walkway.  I also framed the sentiment with the denim.  The sweet bunny and trees are by the super talented artist Lisa Glanz.

Here is the winter tree card video tutorial.

And here is another look at the bunny tree card.

Bunny tree card supplies:  Unity Stamp Co. Tree With Love by Lisa Glanz and Dance With Denim by Brutus Monroe; My Creative Time dies, MFT and SSS ink, original Misti, Copic markers G99, G21, YG13, YG95, BG53, BG49, V0000, V01, E11, E13 and E15.

Sentiment:  Don't be like the rest of them darling.

My next sample has a completely different look, using the same denim stamp.  This one is a sassy blue jeans pocket card.  I used the Brutus Monroe denim stamp to replicate the look of blue jeans with a decorated pocket.

My quick video tutorial shows the pocket card process.

Here is another look at the pocket card.

Pocket Card Supplies:  Unity Stamp Co. Dance with Denim by Brutus Monroe, Pocket & Patches and Things Will Work Out; Copic markers R35, RV11, B14, YG13; Ranger archival ink, original Misti, adhesive gems, lace and My Creative Time dies.
