About this event

Your invitation

We're delighted to invite you to the next series of Learn - Explore - Debate Events arranged by the Department for Education and the National Children's Bureau especially for those working in schools.

These events are designed for school-based early years practitioners in England, including those working in nursery and reception classes, as well as headteachers, leaders and governors. The agenda will be the same at each one, so you only need to sign up for one.

Focus

These events will focus on the key early years policy and practice developments that matter to school-based staff, and the agenda will include:

  • Early Years Foundation Stage Profile (EYFSP)
  • Early Years Education Recovery Programme
  • Ofsted inspections under the revised framework

Who should attend?

These events are designed for school-based early years practitioners in England, including those working in nursery and reception classes as teachers and teaching assistants, as well as headteachers, school leaders and governors.

Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis and are restricted to one per school, so please check with colleagues before booking on.

These events are likely to be oversubscribed, so please don't book more than one place or book on if the description above does not apply to you, as we will have to cancel your booking

We're sorry that people in other roles cannot be invited this time, but the presentations will be recorded, and will be available afterwards on the Foundation Years website together with the slides and case studies after the events, so you will be able to access all the information that will be shared. Questions are likely to be collated into an FAQ document rather than answered live.

Format and platform

The events will be held virtually on Microsoft Teams, and will last 2 hours. The agenda will be the same at each event and will include a mix of presentations, case studies and opportunities for discussion.

Joining instructions and the agenda will be circulated to delegates nearer to the event direct from NCB.

On the day, please log on 5 minutes ahead of the start time to make sure you don't have any technical problems accessing the event.
