Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker have confirmed their engagement following a stunning beachside proposal, and we can now all chant ‘Kravis forever’.
Blink-182 rocker Travis, 45, popped the question to the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star on Sunday during a romantic sunset evening at Rosewood Miramar hotel in Montecito, California, presenting his future wife with a huge diamond ring.
The couple announced the exciting news on Instagram with Kourtney, 42, sharing photos of her kissing her new fiance as they enjoyed a celebratory dinner with family and friends.
‘Forever @travisbarker,’ the reality star captioned the photo.
Kourtney’s mum Kris Jenner and sisters Kim, Khloe, Kylie and Kendall Jenner were on-hand to help the couple celebrate their engagement at the intimate dinner. The three-course meal included a variety of options from taglioni to cod and plant-based cacio e pepe.
The Kardashian clan were all said to be present for the proposal along with Khloe’s on-off boyfriend Tristan Thompson and Kris’ longtime partner Corey Gamble.
A source told E! News: ‘Kourtney looked very surprised to see Khloe and Tristan there.
‘Travis escorted Kourtney down to the beach, where he had red and white florals set up in the shape of a heart. It looked very romantic. I could see Kourtney smiling from ear to ear and put her hand over her mouth looking surprised. The family cheered for them and went back into the hotel.’
Another insider said ‘they surprised [the couple] afterwards inside the hotel’.
Travis’ proposal came out of the blue for Kourtney as a source revealed: ‘She teared up and couldn’t stop saying, “I love you”.’
The happy couple are said to have begun dating in December 2020 but didn’t go public until February this year, when they shared matching loved-up Valentine’s Day posts on Instagram.
Since then, the pair have been inseparable and have already blended their families together – Kourtney shares three children; Mason, 10, Penelope, nine, and Reign, six, with ex-boyfriend Scott Disick, while Travis is father to daughter Alabama Luella Barker, 15, and son Landon Asher Barker, 17, from his marriage to Shanna Moakler. He is also stepfather to a 21-year-old woman from his previous marriage with Atiana De La Hoya.
Scott, 37, was quizzed for his thoughts on Kourtney and Travis’ romance earlier this year during the KUWTK reunion, and said: ‘I think if you really love somebody, right, you want them to be happy no matter what.
‘So, I do give her a blessing to be happy.’
He and Kourtney dated for around 10 years but never married.
Kourtney has clearly been a great influence on Travis, as he credited her with giving him the confidence to fly for the first time in 13 years this summer. The musician narrowly escaped death in a plane crash in 2008 and had avoided flying until August, when he and Kourtney jetted off on holiday.
Thanking his partner, Travis tweeted with a photo of them kissing beside a private jet: ‘With you anything is possible 🖤 @kourtneykardash.’
