      Welcome to student success essentials

      A very warm welcome if you are new to Middlesex and a very warm welcome back if you are a returning student. We hope you are looking forward to the new academic year. Here at Middlesex we want to help you to reach your potential as a successful student and have developed a range of online courses to help you prepare for studying with us.

      One of those courses is the Student Success Essentials: Academic Integrity, which covers plagiarism, university expectations and study skills like referencing. Please watch the video below to understand the impact of breaching academic conventions at University. 

       

      What are Digital-Credentials?

      Digital-Credentials are small qualifications or mini-courses which demonstrate your commitment to developing new skills or updating existing ones. For successfully completing this course, you will be awarded Digital-Credentials and a certificate that will verify the knowledge you have gained. Digital-Credentials can be shared and promoted via LinkedIn and other digital channels – enabling you to stand out from the crowd.

      How can you get Digital-Credentials for completing the course?

      The course is divided into four parts. We are awarding Digital-Credentials for part 1, part 2 and part 3 of the course. Therefore, if you complete the first three parts of the Student Success Essentials course and successfully complete the questions you will receive three Digital-Credentials and will be awarded certificates.

      Please read the course materials, view the videos, and engage in the interactive questions to gauge your understanding. At the end of each section you will be asked four multiple choice questions. A Digital-Credentials will be given to you if you correctly answer 75% of those questions.
