Panathlon had a highly successful year and was on course to break previous participation records before the onset of Covid-19 in March. Six months on, despite continuing virus restrictions, we have created innovative plans to re-start activity safely which you can read about below. Thank you everyone for supporting us and we look forward to working with you this academic year.
Looking back and looking forward
Before Covid-19 forced schools to close, our participation figures were up a staggering 41% compared to the same point in 2019. To keep the momentum going this term, we'll be making our competitions 'virtual', using schools' existing equipment but replicating the experience and ethos of Panathlon competitions that our regular competitors know and love.

Our girls' Woodland Group Essex Outstanding Achiever, Isabelle Evans, is praised by staff and judges for overcoming her many barriers to represent Shorefields School at the London 2012 Aquatics Centre.
