Doorstep Library's weekly e-visit

To keep you exploring the fabulous world of books, from your very own sofa!

It can be hard to stay indoors all day everyday, however, there’s an easy way for us to leave our homes, travel to different places and meet all sorts of people, animals, and crazy creatures - reading!

Every Thursday, we’ll be sending you new storytime videos featuring our lovely volunteers, for you and your children to enjoy. Pick and choose which adventure you want to embark on - we’ll have something for all ages. This week, check out:

Meet Amy and the adorable Cheeky Monkey!

Come and explore the jungle where Cheeky Monkey and his friends live. This story is great for the little ones as they can help Amy count the flowers, name all the different animals and watch Cheeky Monkey hide, climb and get a little snuggle too!

Meet Judah and the quiet, but very clever Ladybird!

Lots of fun animal sounds for you and your children to practise and enjoy whilst listening to this book by Julia Donaldson and Lydia Monks. This picture book is full of suspense! How will a tiny Ladybird save Cow from the secret plans of two mean thieves?

Listen to Anna reading the silly introduction to Captain Underpants!

What happens when you hypnotise your principal and accidentally give him the power to fly? All of this, whilst he’s just wearing a cape and, well, his underpants... Watch this video of Captain Underpants and the Perilous Plot of Professor Poopypants to find out more. And remember, Chapter 1 of this book will be coming out next week! Suitable for children age 7+
