With the recent announcement from the  DfE that it will pay the full cost of NPQ qualifications for all state schools, we are excited to share the details of all our NPQ courses on our NPQ page .

The NPQs are completed on a part-time basis and are designed to fit neatly into busy timetables.  Email us at tshub@lawrencesheriffschool.com to register your interest in the NPQ Autumn 2022 intake.

If you have new ECTs starting at your school in September, make sure they are signed up for the ECF programme as soon as possible - email us at tshub@lawrencesheriffschool.com and head to our website to read our step by step guide to registering your ECT

Secondary Computing Conference

27th June
1.30pm-4pm on Teams
The CQF  (Computing Quality Framework) helps schools/MATs review their progress in developing the computing curriculum. Schools that demonstrate consistently high attainment can then apply for the NCCE Computing Quality Mark awarded by BCS. Join us to explore the CQF process, strands, evidence and how to use support to complete.

Overcoming Barriers to Learning

25th June

The UKEd conference hosted by Sidney Stringer Academy for Primary, Secondary and SEN teachers with a focus on ‘overcoming barriers to learning.’ 

Focused on looking beyond catch-up, the programme will include inspiring and engaging keynote presentations and will provide ‘takeaway’ ideas and practical strategies.

Evidence-based strategies for effective and enjoyable grammar instruction’ course with GianFranco Conti; international keynote speaker, professional development provider, writer of instructional materials, blogger as well as an author of books and articles on language pedagogy.  This course is designed for language teachers/departments interested in and already using the Cognitive Load Theory and Applied Linguistics approach.

Future of Education Conference: FutureFwd

School leaders, teachers and governors are invited to attend https://www.futurefwd.org.  This is a new conference, taking place on 4th and 5th July, looking at the skills and attributes our young people need for their futures by linking the worlds of work and education.
It is free to attend. 
We are keen to engage with as many local schools and educationalists as possible, and it would be wonderful to welcome representatives from the schools in the Coventry and Central Warwickshire Teaching School Hub.
