Neighbors,

Today we celebrate American hero and civil rights leader, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., by giving back, or attending events to commemorate his life and legacy.

This morning I led a Ward 5 delegation in the 13th annual Martin Luther King Day Parade. I was proud to march alongside the Ward 5 Democrats, as well as other Ward 5 residents.
Thank you to those who were able to join us today, as well as those who marked the day with service elsewhere. While the air was cold, spirits were high and everyone enjoyed themselves. Events like this annual parade and peace walk allow us to remember those who fought for equality before us and provide context for the challenges that lay before us.

In Service,

Kenyan
