CREATIVE LATER LIFE 2025
...a new chapter of delivery...
We have been dropping hints for some time about 'A Call To Action' and a new programme of delivery which includes the Age of Creativity Network, websites, festival and our wider work. At last, as part of the Festival 2022, we can share the news- we have secured funding to begin 'Creative Later Life 2025'.

The Creative Later Life 2025 concept is simple:

Older people have equity of access and agency across the creative and cultural sector by 2025

The Creative Later Life 2025 approach is simple:
-Older people will lead the Creative Ageing movement
-Creative Ageing will be mainstreamed across Age and Cultural Sectors
-Tailored programmes will continue to grow and meet more specialist needs

But the delivery isn't simple- if it was, we would've done it all by now!
But we have a plan- and we need your help to realise this as a network.

First steps
We will begin by focussing on the pathways individuals have had into (and out of) creativity reflecting on existing research and using storytelling techniques to capture more diverse perspectives.  Taking a lifecourse approach, we will gain a better picture of why people choose to engage in creativity, how age and ageing plays a role in this and who, what and where the support for these pathways exist both locally and nationally.

Longer term
As a small team, with mighty ambitions, we have identified 5 areas of focus:

1. A 'Lived Experience Network of Networks' to raise the profile and mobilise the power
2. Peer Learning for those with lived and practice experience to come together
3. FREE 'Age Friendly Creative Training', co-designed with older people
4. A New 'Co-designed Evaluation Tool' that harnesses qualitative data collection in delivery
5. Place-based partnerships, supporting more diverse communities to influence creativity

There is a lot to do!
We are lucky enough to be working in partnership with some brilliant changemakers and leaders over the next 2 years. If anything about the work we have planned within the CLL25 chimes with your passion or projects, then share this with your colleagues and contact us via hello@ageofcreativity.co.uk or farrellrenowden@ageukoxfordshire.org.uk.  More details about our 'first steps' and how to share your story will be coming very soon.

Right now
