Many sectors already have great practice, including charities, housing and health and social care. However, it’s
recognised there’s more to learn and do as we embrace diverse leadership and equality throughout the workplace across all sectors.

So how can organisations actively become EDI led from the board room and encourage involvement to influence and make changes?

The past 18 months has thrown everything we know up into the air and amongst the chaos lots of questions have been raised about how healthcare is delivered. Now, as we begin to see how the dust will settle, there is an incredible opportunity to do some things very differently.

At the pro-manchester Health Tech Conference we will explore whether and how, by requiring  the healthcare sector, its staff and users to adapt, a new normal has emerged. What innovative ideas have been developed and what kind of a difference are they going to make to the future of healthcare delivery in the UK? We will be looking at the changes in legislation, operating methods and culture and how all these things are driving a fundamental shift in our healthcare system for good

After a year of lockdown’s and social distancing restrictions we are all desperate to be together and do some good old fashioned networking and it is our duty, as the business community organisation for GM, to make that happen, safely and securely.

Agent Academy, an award-winning social enterprise that provides industry-designed training for people to enter the creative and digital industry, is launching a brand-new programme in Greater Manchester.

Established in 2014 in the Liverpool City Region, Agent Academy, the sister social enterprise of full-service brand and communications agency, Agent, has helped create over 200 long term jobs for the sector. The organisation has generated £15 million in accumulative salaries, helping young people to secure sustainable careers in the creative and digital industry, and supporting businesses to find talent. Previous graduates of Agent Academy’s training programme have gone on to work for household brands, including Sony Music, LFC Foundation, BBC, JD Sports and Just Eat.

Last week, Her Majesty The Queen visited Manchester to celebrate 60 years of Coronation Street and the 600^th Anniversary of  Manchester Cathedral, whilst on her walk about meeting various organisations and charities she was entertained by the fabulous Manchester Lesbian Gay Chorus, I was lucky enough to meet her and talk about the LGBTQ+ Charites and the work they do across Greater Manchester and she was extremely supportive and absolutely loved the choir.
