become a  volunteer 

We' re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to engage with festival-goers, acting as positive ambassadors for LuminoCity, and Southend.

LuminoCity will run from Thursday 16th - Saturday 18th February 2023 (5pm-10pm) and will feature high-profile light installations at locations in and around Southend city centre and seafront.

 The role involves: 

• Directing festival-goers to find their way around the installations

• Answering any questions that festival-goers may have 

• Handing out Festival Guides

• Undertaking any other reasonable duties that maybe designated by the LuminoCity Events Team

 role requirements: 

​

• The role will involve walking, so a good level of fitness is needed 

• Good communicator, confident talking to and engaging with people

• Ability to represent the Festival/Southend positively and have a patient and tolerant nature

• Own a mobile phone, that can be used to report any issues 

• Friendly and outgoing personality

• Common sense!

• Aged 18 plus
