Kirkgate Market is available online following a partnership with a eco-friendly delivery service.

Kirkgate Market will be going online, with a select range of it’s stalls being made available for delivery.

Stalls such as Whitaker’s Farmhouse Eggs & Cheese, Brown’s Sweets and Bluebird Bakery are now all available online following Kirkgate Markets partnership with Good Sixty.

The aim is to offer customers a more convenient way to shop in the market, by allowing people to purchase their goods online for a small delivery fee of £3.50.

Andrew Clough, owner of Whitaker’s Farmhouse Eggs & Cheese was delighted with the decision to go online when he said ”it just brings us into the 21st century, all retailers offer an online presence and now you’re able to get it in Kirkgate Market”.

Good sixty have recently stated that they are available for Christmas delivery orders now from Kirkgate Market, following the launch last week.

The launch has been successful for traders in the market, with Jenny from Panda Refills stating ”we have had quite a few orders in the first week so it’s so far so good.”

A number of stalls in the market offered an online service during the Covid-19 pandemic and aim to work with Good Sixty in order to continue selling their goods online following the success a similar service had last year.

Aiming to offer a eco-friendly delivery, Good Sixty will deliver in electric vans, in order to stay sustainable. This was important to Jenny, the owner of Panda Refills, who went on to say, ”sustainability is how they sold it to me when they approached us, which we welcomed.”

By offering a zero emission service, they were able to attract a number of stalls to the service, which in turn benefits these businesses financially as they have another place to trade.

Orders can be made right now from The Good Sixty now.
