Corporates and Society - working for a purpose

What do Government assignments have in common with the corporate world? What can be learnt from working in the intersection of the private sector and doing good for Sweden?

To lead organizations towards joint goals in the public sector has a lot in common with the private sector, but there are also some clear differences. For example, impact is more easily defined for corporates, while the purpose of the activities can be more evident when working for society. Attracting leading international companies to operate in Sweden (Foreign Direct Investment promotion) is immensely important for the economy and the related activities take place in the intersection of corporates and society. It provides learnings that are helpful for managing stakeholders such as board members, corporate executives, public servants and politicians in a domestic and international context.

Holding an MBA from INSEAD and having spent a decade in management consulting at McKinsey & Co, and as long at Ericsson in various senior strategic positions, including VP Group Business Excellence, Ulrika Cederskog Sundling has a unique background in her current role as EVP Head of Invest at Business Sweden.
