This handbook offers guidance on gender analysis, planning, and implementation in humanitarian action. Divided into three parts, it covers the rationale for gender equality, introduces gender integration into the Humanitarian Programme Cycle, and provides a step-by-step approach for 11 sectors. The 5-step process includes needs assessment, strategic planning, resource mobilization, implementation and monitoring, and gender operational peer review and evaluation. This approach ensures effective programming and equitable access to services for all affected by crisis while also helping donors identify and fund gender-sensitive programs.
