Connected systems support the planet
The natural world exists in a delicate balance, in webs woven of symbiosis and interdependence; all living organisms function together in connected systems that support the diversity of life on this planet. We, as humans, have drawn on our evolutionary ancestry to organise this world we have built for ourselves. Much like nature, we too have constructed civilisations through collaboration, community, and endless connections.

Change is not the mandate nor the capacity of any singular entity; change requires a tidal wave of power and influence to spur progress. Disparate local efforts amalgamate to form national or global systems of leaders and communities, where people make commitments to be there for each other; they participate not only for their own needs, but to serve the needs of others. And it is within these communities that we find power—the power to build and re-build, to innovate and transform, to inspire, connect, and empower.

The India Climate Collaborative is a living system. We leverage the strength of our network, spanning across government, business, philanthropy, academia, and civil society, to overcome the greatest crisis facing our world and our country today: climate change. We convene stakeholders across disciplines to design, finance, and implement pathbreaking climate solutions.

Increase climate spending
We work with a network of Indian and international donors and foundations to increase funding to effective climate solutions. We simplify climate investments by making recommendations, help donors learn more about and engage with climate action, and bring new players to make climate commitments.

We explore narratives and mediums that motivate people to engage with this crisis, to introduce new and diverse voices into the climate conversation. We also facilitate connections and partnerships within the ecosystem to increase knowledge sharing, scale of impact, and leverage.

Increase the efficiency of climate spending
We build alignment and collective action across the climate sphere, in order to enhance the value of climate investments. We achieve this by convening decision-makers to set collective goals and measurement criteria, building the capacity of institutions and communities, and developing open-source tools and knowledge products.
