On successful completion of the module a student should:
1. Discuss and critically evaluate the appropriateness of a range of imaging techniques in both the clinical and sub speciality settings for paediatric patients.
2. Gain an in depth understanding of how to modify normal technique to accommodate the needs of paediatric patients for a broad spectrum of presentations.
3. Demonstrate a detailed professional knowledge from a radiographers perspective and apply current research and practice into the wider multidisciplinary context.
4. Gather, analyse and critically evaluate information from a wide range of sources related to paediatric imaging and their own professional practice.
5. Apply professional knowledge and problem solving abilities in relation to paediatric patient examination and care.
6. Justify the contribution of paediatric imaging in the overall management of the patient pathway.
7. Develop professional competencies by integrating clinical skills and specialist clinical knowledge with effective communication skills.

This module has been developed with radiographers in mind and so previous experience of working as a radiographer is essential. Experience of working with paediatric patients is important to allow full benefit from the module to be gained.
