The Instructors

Master Rothrock has headed the academy for over 50 years, and along with his staff of expert and Professional Black Belt coaches, we offer you a unique, safe and fun classroom experience to meet or exceed your goals.

Many martial arts schools come and go, or many are part-time clubs that are only open a few days a week. Many instructors do this as a hobby or are not qualified to teach a martial art. Contrary to what most people believe, a black belt does not make you an instructor or teacher.

Here at the Academy, you have the assurance that we have a long history of success and have trained thousands of students over the years. We are a full-time professional Academy. Along with Master Rothrock, he has full-time professional coaches and staff dedicated to your overall goals and success.

All the instructors at Rothrock's Kung Fu must complete a yearlong instructor training course that includes academic study of the 200-page Instructor Training Book written by Master Rothrock. They also must complete 50 hours of classroom study. All instructors follow the 100-page rotating lesson plan, created by Master Rothrock, to maximize a student's training experience from the introductory levels of training to the advanced levels of training.

Classical Kung Fu Basics, based on the 2000-year-old Chinese art of Kung Fu, that kept the monks in the Shaolin Monastery healthy and free from disease. They created an unbelievable Health program based on 5 Animals: Tiger (Strength), Leopard (Speed), Snake (Endurance), Crane (Balance) and the Dragon (Flexibility)

A famous General, Ngok Fei taught his soldiers techniques for quick and effective hand-to-hand combat on the battlefield. These techniques emphasized the use of grabbing, locking and nerve point strikes.

Kung Fu for Kids

Kid's Kung Fu has 3 components: Emotional Development, Physical Development, and Intellectual Development. Your Child learns the Black Belt concepts of Concentration, Discipline, and Leadership. Your Child is not born with these and has to learn these critical attributes to become successful in life. We will make Your Child a Better Version of Themselves.

3 Components of Kid's Kung Fu

Physical

Punching, Kicking and Blocking is all part of keeping your child fit and active. You’ll get them away from video games and interact with other kids and develop responsibility. Unlike other playgrounds our playground your child will play hard. They’ll have fun interacting with other kids and because of the modern training equipment; they’ll never get bored in the Playground. Things like soccer or gymnastics, for example, are positive, fun activities, but outside of the soccer field or the gymnasium, they don’t provide your child with anything lasting. The training your child will receive here does precisely the opposite.

Emotional

Your child will learn the 4 rules of discipline that lead to self-discipline. The three aspects of concentration teach your child to stay focused, and that shows them how to keep their emotions in check. Your child will also improve their self-esteem through confidence-boosting techniques and be learning that there is no such thing as failure only results. Then we teach your child how to turn those results into actions for success.

Intellectual

Is essential for your child to develop to do well in school and later in life. Intellectual development not only means what they are learning in school but also understanding and comprehending their world around them. Intellectual development requires concentration. Concentration means to bring all efforts, faculties, activities, etc., to bear on one thing activity (often followed by an action of completion). Attention requires 3 areas of development: Focusing the Eyes, Focusing the Mind and Focusing the Body.

Adult Tai Chi

Tai Chi Fit is designed for older individuals to improve flexibility and muscle tone with a slow-motion low-impact easy to learn dance-like postures. Helps promote relaxation and relieves stress with 5 factors: Tai Chi Stretching, Rooting (for leg strength), Hand Expression & Breathing (for joint mobility), Tai Chi Massage (for deep relaxation), and Tai Chi Postures (for a complete low-impact exercise).

Watch the video below...

3 Components of Tai Chi

Tai Chi Rooting

Rooting serves two purposes: 1) it develops the leg strength and improves muscle tone. At the same time, it strengthens the lower back and improves balance. 2) Tai Chi moves smoothly like water in a country stream. To move your body gracefully and seamlessly requires the knowledge of shifting the weight from one leg to the other. Walking requires the same action. In fact, just after a few weeks, you’ll find walking more comfortable, and you’ll feel lighter on your feet.

Tai Chi Breathing

One of the first places that many people start to get arthritis in their hands. The joints become inflamed from poor circulation and not stretching their fingers, wrists, elbows, and shoulders. Tai Chi Hand Expression improves this circulation with unique circular hand and arm motions thus improving blood flow and joint flexibility. These hand motions are combined with a special deep breathing Tai Chi exercise. In fact, many people that have arthritis have found a 90 percent improvement.

Tai Chi Stretching

Unique Tai Chi exercises that loosen the joints and muscles. What makes these exercises unique is that they use a gentle motion to stretch the entire body at once. The gentle movement of Tai Chi is the natural way the body stretches. I’m sure that after sitting down for an extended period, you’ve stood up and stretched by raising your arms and gently tightening your body. It feels great! That is Tai Chi natural stretching.
