The ALBA Network is proud to present to the neuroscientific community the ALBA Declaration on Equity and Inclusion, during a special launch event at the SfN Global Connectome (11-13 January 2021).

Modelled on the Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA), the ALBA Declaration's goal is to raise awareness and provide a concrete set of actions that individuals and institutions can commit to in order to make their organisations and the brain research community at large more inclusive.

Join the ALBA Network Team for the official launch and learn how you can support this initiative.

Programme

Tuesday 12th January 2021 9-10 am EST / 3-4 pm CET

The session will be introduced by Prof. Carmen Sandi who will talk about the ALBA Network, its mission and its activities.

Then Dr. Megan Carey will present the ALBA Declaration on Equity and Inclusion: the goals ALBA wishes to achieve with this document, the process followed to write it and the major action points laid out in the text.

In the second part of the event, each panelist will highlight specific elements of the Declaration and share real-life examples of effective implementation.

This will be followed by a Q&A with the audience.
