As she prepares for the birth of her second child with her partner Damien O’Farrell, Síle Seoige has offered fans a peek at what she has packed inside her labour bag.
Taking to her Instagram stories, Síle, who is currently 38 weeks pregnant, unzipped the bag and went through all the items she had packed for her big hospital stay one by one.
Starting off with the necessities, the TV presenter, who is expecting a baby girl, pulled out her birth preference forms followed by a pouch filled with baby clothes and a 'couple of nappies' for when the little one arrives.
Other essential bits Síle packed in the bag included a water bottle, cozy socks, slippers, dressing gown, pads, flip-flops, hairband, and some 'beautiful big black knickers' - you can't be without them!
At one point, Síle even whipped out an extension lead from the bag. 'I've thrown an extension lead into the bag but it's obviously not going to be needed,' she said.
Síle, who gave birth to her first child in a birthing pool at the Coombe, showed her followers a separate pouch of supplies that are 'absolutely what I will need in labour.'
'In here I have my tens machine,' Síle said. 'And this time around I rented it from medicare. You're meant to get used to it in advance, I haven't quite done that yet but hopefully, it's straightforward enough. I found the tens brilliant last time. I was, not skeptical as such but I just wasn't sure and I thought it made all the difference.'
'The other thing that worked for me, and I ordered another set, was the homeopathy kit...it comes with all these little things for very different symptoms that you get in labour that you can use before during, and after.'
Síle said she also had packed some snacks for labour although she didn't eat the last time, along with a spritz for her face and hydration tablets.
Signing off Instagram Stories, Síle promised fans she'd share her hospital bag which will have all the bits she'll need for after baby is born, in the next few days. We applaud your organisation, Síle!
