Help ShelterBox Australia create a world where no family goes without shelter after disaster.

Set against the backdrop of Australia’s iconic landscape, the ShelterBox Australian Outback Marathon is a chance to challenge yourself as you pound the red earth around Uluru and Kata Tjuta National Park.

This inspiring backdrop is perfect for runners of all experience levels who want to challenge themselves with the choice of completing the full marathon, half marathon, 11km and 6km courses.

Winding its way from One Tree Crossing and along Mala Road towards Heidi’s Corner the race comes to an end near Neaylon Corner. Consisting of hard-packed earth fire trails, bush tracks, sand dunes, soft sand, unsealed roads and sealed asphalt road, the course offers breath-taking views to inspire you over the last few kilometres.

Not only will you run this epic race in the heart of Australia, you can also take optional tours to discover more of this spectacular region and take in the natural surroundings of Uluru and Kata Tjuta. To top it off, every dollar you raise through this challenge will help ShelterBox create a world where no family goes without shelter after disaster.

Every dollar raised will help families who have lost everything to disaster or crisis.

Disasters can strike anywhere, at any time. Having somewhere dry and warm to sleep, to prepare meals and be with your family is vital for starting the long process of rebuilding your life.

Our signature ShelterBoxes and ShelterKits contain the tools to transform lives and rebuild communities after a disaster or crisis. The funds you raise on this challenge can provide shelter from the elements, clean water to prevent illness, solar light for safety, blankets and ground sheets for protection, tools to repair homes.

ShelterBox prides itself on its ability to respond quickly and in order to do so, we maintain a high level of stock and a continuous pipeline of aid. To achieve this we must have access to funds before a disaster strikes and be able to replenish stocks immediately afterwards. It is for this reason that we cannot raise funds for particular projects, instead, all funds raised will go into our ‘ShelterBox Solution’ fund. This fund allows to be flexible and respond quickly, in the most appropriate manner.

Together we can help rebuild communities after disaster strikes. Join us and help ensure no family goes without shelter following disaster or humanitarian crisis.
