With over 40 members of faculty from more than 15 countries, the Department provides an international, collegial and dynamic research environment with a commitment to world-class academic excellence.

We are currently looking to fill a position at the level of Lecturer (i.e., equivalent to Assistant Professor) in Macroeconomics. The ideal candidate should have a PhD Economics or related field by the time of the appointment and demonstrate the potential to publish in internationally recognised journals. The jobholder will be expected to participate fully in the intellectual life of the department and of the faculty-wide Centre for Financial Econometrics, Asset Markets and Macroeconomic Policy, to maintain a high quality research agenda that reaches out to external networks of collaborators as well as contributing to research activities within the Department and the Faculty. This will include participating in externally funded collaborative research projects as well as seeking funding for one’s own projects. The teaching responsibilities will consist of a contribution to core subjects at any level in the research areas of the jobholder, as well as supervision of MSc and PhD students.

To apply for this position, please complete the application on EconJobMarket and the short form on the website of Lancaster University (at https://hr-jobs.lancs.ac.uk/Vacancy.aspx?ref=A2857). Both steps must be completed for applicants to be considered for this job opportunity. Outstanding candidates may qualify for a supplement to the regular salary. A recruitment committee will be attending and conducting first-round interviews at the European Job Market for Economists in Rotterdam Dec. 18-19, 2019.
