Dear Colleagues

From September 2021, new teachers will be supported through a two-year statutory induction programme of professional development and mentoring.

TSSW (soon to be SWIFT) will be working as a delivery partner with one of the National Providers to ensure that all Early Career Teachers, and their Mentors and schools access and benefit from the Early Career Framework programme.    

We will also take this opportunity to give you an update on our new streamlined two year Appropriate Body service. As from September, TSSW will provide one AB service for primary and secondary NQTs. This service will  encapsulate the experience of three very established NQT Appropriate Body teams from across the South West: NQTSW (West Country TSA/Ventrus TSA) & Torbay TSA.

As part of this process, we would like to invite you to attend an Early Engagement event to find out more and to guide and prepare you for the next academic year.

We will be hosting free information events on the following three dates and invite you and your colleagues to join us:

Monday 26 April 2021 | 1530 – 1630
Wednesday 28 April 2021 | 1300 – 1400
Thursday 6 May 2021 | 0900 – 1000

The events will be hosted on Microsoft Teams and are open to Headteachers and Senior Leaders who will be involved in the Early Career Framework in your school.
