Sustainability: Giving back to the Future
Join us for an engaging evening as we delve into the world of sustainability and explore ways to give back to our future. This in-person event will take place on Thursday 30th November 2023 at 6:30pm at the Great Hall, Queen's University Belfast.
Our esteemed panellists, experts in their fields, will share insights and experiences on what Queen’s is doing to meet UN Sustainable Development Goals, the impact that institutional research is making and innovative ideas being explored across Northern Ireland within the field.
Hosted by Sarah Travers, the panel will include:
- Debbie Caldwell, Belfast Climate Commissioner, Belfast City Council, and Co-Chair of the Belfast Climate Commission
- Professor Michael Alcorn, Associate Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Strategic Projects, Queen’s University Belfast
- Professor John Barry, Professor of Green Political Economy, Queen’s University Belfast, and Co-Chair of the Belfast Climate Commission
The event will also provide a call to action for graduates on the role they can play. Don't miss this opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, expand your knowledge, and contribute to the ongoing sustainability movement. Refreshments will be provided.
