Our Manchester message โ stay safe as the city reopens
As of Monday, July 19 the majority of Covid restrictions in England have been dropped.
But, with cases of Covid still high in Manchester it is more important than ever to be considerate, and think of others now that life is returning to normal.
This means getting vaccinated, wearing a face covering in crowded spaces, or thinking about people you visit.
Click here to find out how you can help get Manchester where it needs to be, and to protect your communities from Covid.
Culture Nominations
The deadline to make a nomination for this year's Manchester Culture Awards has been extended by a week following requests from cultural organisations and others for more time.
It's been two years since the awards were last held after they were cancelled due to Covid in 2020, and nominations have been rolling in since nominations opened last month.
Nominations were supposed to be in by midnight on Sunday 18 July but after last minute pleas asking for more time to complete nomination forms, the council has agreed to extend the nomination deadline by one week. Click here to have your say.
The deadline for making nominations is now midnight on Sunday 25 July.
Anti-Social Behaviour Awareness Week
Living with anti-social behaviour is something no one should have to put up with.
