Essex County Council: SEND Improvement Staff Launch Event

Overview

This event will be held virtually through Microsoft Teams. This session is specifically to share the initial outputs of the Quality of Plans workstream of the SEND Joint Written Statement of Action with all staff across Education, Health and Social Care and to share the timeline for review of these new ways of working and any future changes. The session will cover the new guidance, policies and ways of working related to the Education, Health and Care Needs Assessment Process (EHCNA) in detail and what those changes mean for you in your role.

These topics include new EHCNA guidance, how decisions are made around Education, Health and Care plans (EHCPs), Quality Assurance Framework and support for children and young people with medical needs.
