Bernard is an expert practitioner in the field of innovative teaching and learning methodologies. In 2002 he took part in a Department for Education research scholarship programme where he researched and developed the Modern Languages Pedagogy through a Multi-Sensory Approach. Through his masters degree in sociolinguistic and his extensive international work, Bernard has acquired great insight in the field of cultural differences and identity. Bernard''''s passion and experience for new technologies as a practitioner led him to develop and publish teaching and learning resources. In 2004, he joined the UK Government Department for Education (DfES / LSIS) and lead the development of inspirational resources for teaching and professional development which are now used nationally. Bernard regularly trains teachers and managers on various educational improvement programmes to enhance teachers and managers’ understanding of pedagogies and strategic school improvement. He also trains schools and coach senior managers through his company, senier consultancy, to enable them to improve their performance in line with Inspection requirements. David has recently been working as the Chief Academic Officer of The City School Group. This is a group of 150 schools across GCC and Asia. Previously he has worked in several countries in a range of roles. He has been the Headteacher of two schools in the UK. He has also worked as one of Her Majesty’s Inspectors for Ofsted in England, where he learnt all about inspections and how they work to support school improvement. During this period, he also worked as an Educational Adviser to the Department for Education, advising schools in their development form planning to opening. Following this, he worked as a Principal Inspector for KHDA in Dubai and as an independent school improvement consultant in the same Emirate. During this time, he also worked for the World Bank to develop national standards for Special Needs Education in Kuwait and has evaluated schools as a visiting School Evaluator in Bahrain. This work in the Gulf region, gave him a good knowledge of a wide range of different curricula from around the globe. Finally, he returned to be a school Principal towards the end of the Covid lockdown period and was able to lead his school successfully through reopening, to minimise risks to all members of the school community. During his time as Principal, his school was evaluated, during the first British Schools Overseas (BSO) inspection in Dubai, following lockdown, and was upgraded from Satisfactory to Good.

Deeb Hasan is an educational bi-lingual consultant with specialisms in Arabic and English. He is a BQA & EDT reviewer. He joined BQA in 2009 and retired in 2019 when he became an inspector with Educational Development Trust (EDT). He worked in Bahrain Quality Authority for Education and Training (BQA) for 11 years and still a part time Consultant till present. Deeb is certified as an inspector by CfBT in 2010, England, UK. He has an extensive experience in the field of education. He graduated from Ain Shams University with a BA in English Language and Literature in 1980, and was directly appointed as a teacher of English language at Al-Salaam International College in Cairo, Egypt. In 1984, he joined Ministry of Education in Bahrain and taught English Language at Samaheej Intermediate School for 3 years prior to becoming an administrivia supervisor at Al-Hidaya Secondary School, where he spent 14 years. During this period, he joined Bahrain University and got higher Educational Diploma, and also studied at the British Council and passed FCE - Cambridge University Exam and achieved a high score in IELTS that enabled him to join MA in (TESOL) Edinburgh University, Scotland, U.K. Deeb was promoted to be a Head of the English Language Department at Muharrraq Secondary School in 2001, where he spent 5 years. Due to his commitment and hard work, he was promoted again to become a Vice Principal at Riffa’a Secondary then Ahmed Al-Omran Secondary schools where he spent 3 years till 2008. Deeb got a Leadership Diploma from NIE (National Institute of Education) at Nanyang University, Singapore in 2007 in cooperation with Bahrain University. He has participated in reviewing more than 250 educational institutes (schools, institutes and colleges) in Bahrain, KSA and UAE. Deeb trained fresh reviewers at BQA for about 10 years, and his contributions to education reform are evident and praised by Dr Jawaher, the CE of BQA and his directors. Deeb graded a broad range of subject areas e.g., Arabic, English, mathematics, science, social & Islamic studies, business, and technical subjects at public, private schools and institutes that apply British, American, International Baccalaureate (IB) and MoE & UAE curricula. In 2019, he participated in reviewing the technical institutes for the Saudi Colleges of Excellence (CoE). He also reviewed private schools in Sharjah and in Fujairah in the UAE in May 2022, as a member and as a team leader. Deeb translated and edited a lot of BQA school reports and most documents that are published on BQA site and Bahrain Media. Recently, Deeb provides support for 3 private schools in Bahrain. He has also been teaching Arabic for expatriates at Discover Islam Centre since 2000 to present.

Susan Jackson MA has over 30 years’ experience in education. She was a teacher, administrator, and three times School Principal (UK, Argentina, France), before establishing her own consultancy which specialises in setting up new schools for governments and private sponsors across the world. Susan has been a UK Ofsted Inspector of Schools for 15 years, and a Lead Inspector of Free Schools, Studio Schools, University Technical Colleges (UTC) and Academy conversions. She has been selected by the British Cabinet Office and the Department for Education for service on public bodies. For over 25 years Susan has been an Examiner and a Moderator for the IB (International Baccalaureate). She has been a research fellow at the University of Bristol and was chosen to lead the Independent / International Schools’ Initiative at the National Development Centre for Educational Management and Policy.
