Introduction

ORIENTING aims to develop an operational life cycle sustainability assessment methodology supporting decisions towards the circular economy, The Centre for Sustainable Design ® AT UCA is completing research into product circularity and product social considerations in design and development. ORIENTING is European Commission Horizon 2020 project

Objectives

The webinar will take place via Zoom, where findings will be presented on product social considerations based on 21 in-depth qualitative interviews conducted with industry between August 2021 and March 2022.

The webinar will highlight:

• What are Product Social (PC) issues?
• Defining Social Topics within Design and Development
• Identified PS Topics within Industry
• Measuring Social Impact
• Barriers identified for implementing PS Considerations
• PS links to Orienting methodology

Audience

The webinar is targeted at those involved in managing sustainability is companies and those engaged in design and development.
