Purpose of the consultation
The
Children,
Young People and Education Committee undertook an inquiry into
Pupil Absence. The issues of pupil absence and the impact on children and young
people’s learning and wider well-being was raised with the Committee during
annual scrutiny of Estyn in December 2021.
The purpose of this
consultation was to seek the views of stakeholders and members of the public.
The responses we received informed the questions we ask Welsh Government
Ministers and has feed into our final report.
