Active governance is about much more than sitting through a few meetings over the year. Effective governance needs those involved to work as a team to understand their school and to focus on the core functions of governance.

This workshop is facilitated by Cathy Brown who is Director of Governance at The Mead Educational Trust. Cathy has over 20 years’ experience as a school governor and chair of governors in both maintained schools and academies, at primary and secondary levels. She also has experience as a trustee in a multi-academy trust. She is an experienced trainer for governors and clerks and provides support to chairs of governors and MAT governance professionals.
