From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Rachel Van Dyken…
She left. Two words I can't really get out of my head. She left us. Three more words that make it that much worse. Three being another word I can't seem to wrap my mind around. Three kids under the age of six, and she left because she missed it. Because her dream had never been to have a family, no her dream had been to marry a rockstar and live the high life. Moving my recording studio to Seaside Oregon seems like the best idea in the world right now especially since Seaside Oregon has turned into the place for celebrities to stay and raise families in between touring and producing. It would be lucrative to make the move, but I'm doing it for my kids because they need normal, they deserve normal. And me? Well, I just need a break and help, that too. I need a sitter and fast. Someone who won't flip me off when I ask them to sign an Iron Clad NDA, someone who won't sell our pictures to the press, and most of all? Someone who looks absolutely nothing like my ex-wife.
He's tall. That was my first instinct when I saw the notorious Trevor Wood, drummer for the rock band Adrenaline, in the local coffee shop. He ordered a tall black coffee which made me smirk, and five minutes later I somehow agreed to interview for a nanny position. I couldn't help it; the smaller one had gum stuck in her hair while the eldest was standing on his feet and asking where babies came from. He looked so pathetic, so damn sexy and pathetic that rather than be star-struck, I took pity. I knew though; I knew the minute I signed that NDA, the minute our fingers brushed and my body became insanely aware of how close he was—I was in dangerous territory, I just didn't know how dangerous until it was too late. Until I fell for the star and realized that no matter how high they are in the sky—they're still human and fall just as hard.
I may be premature in saying this since this is only the second book I've read from this series, but this is my favorite crossover series that any author has done. I love how this book connected to Kristen Proby's Soaring with Fallon with such ease. And it wasn't in a way to where if you haven't read the other books or haven't read the Seaside Pictures series that you'll be confused. Instead it was just a nice little bonus for those that have read them. Which is exactly what a crossover book should be like in my opinion.
Penny and Trevor were so adorable together and I loved that they had such a strong chemistry but also some angst since they wouldn't give into it at first. It had me so intrigued just waiting to see what would finally make them stop denying the attraction. There wasn't too much drama or angst which was perfect since the book isn't super lone, but just enough to keep you captivated. And there was the added cuteness of Trevor's kids who I adored.
Overall, definitely a book I recommend and I think if you haven't started the Seaside or Seaside Pictures series yet that this would be a great book to try out and see if you'll enjoy the characters. I'm already dying for more of them, especially Drew. I need that man's story ASAP.

It was OK. A little bit too cliche for me. The h just happened to look like a supermodel. Uh huh. There were too many 'just happeneds' in this for me. I know it's hard in a novella to have a complete story arc without making some pretty quick leaps, and I'm prepared to accept a few things I wouldn't in a full length novel. But this one didn't really do it for me.
✓ Single Dad ✓ Rock Star ✓ Off Limits Nanny ✓ New Beginnings ✓ Melt Your Heart Swoonfest
This is such a cute read! A fun, sweet, sexy and swoony romance with lots of heart, it’s a fantastic story packed into a short novella, and I loved it!
This book is a crossover between Rachel Van Dyken’s Seaside Pictures series, and Kristen Proby’s Big Sky series. I haven’t read either, and I was easily sucked into this story and the world of these fabulous characters. If you’ve read those series, you’ll probably love this one even more, with strong involvement from the Seaside Pictures crew, and I’m really excited to go back and begin that series from the beginning to get their stories!
Trevor Wood is the drummer/sometime singer for hot rock band, Adrenaline. He’s also a single father to three adorably precocious children under 6 after his supermodel wife tired of the family life and up and left all three of them behind. He adores his children and is doing his best to provide them with a ‘normal’ childhood, but he’s struggling to balance it all.
Penny is the best friend of Fallon from the Big Sky series, and she has just moved to Seaside, Oregon, for a fresh start. She’s working as a barista when a harried-looking Trevor walks into her coffee shop. She recognises him as the man who was immortalised in posters all over her teenage bedroom wall, but it’s his kids that she is drawn to, and after seeing her interact with them, Trevor offers her a job on the spot as their Nanny.
Penny turns out to be just the thing that Trevor’s family needs – bringing life and light into the world of the three little kids still struggling with the desertion of their mother, and one overwhelmed father desperately in need of help. The bond between Penny and the children is immediate, and it doesn’t take long for Trevor to start to recognise what a gem she is, and for Penny to see the ‘real’ man behind the rock star, and an attraction to start to simmer.
They talk, they banter, and as they get to know each other, the chemistry sizzles! It’s a fun ride of ‘should I/shouldn’t I’, flirting and delicious moments of anticipation before things get steamy, and the build-up is fantastic! But acting on their attraction is one thing, dealing with the fact that they are actually falling for each other is another, and they have some issues to work through before they get their HEA. But I loved their journey which was full of fun times, sweet moments and sexy swoon.
Trevor is a gorgeous romantic hero. He’s a wonderful blend of sexy rockstar and overwhelmed single parent struggling with the demands of his life, and through it all, his love for his children absolutely shines. And Penny is a fantastic heroine – smart, sensible and funny, and I love the way she handles herself (and Trevor) as they figure out what is going on between them.
Trevor’s friends and bandmates are an absolute riot as they situate themselves right in the middle of the unfolding romance, and I loved the camaraderie and the fantastically fun dynamic between them. And his kids bring so much to the story with their sweetness and their antics. I laughed out loud so many times.
This is a really fun read, with fantastic audio narration by Peter Coleman and Brittany Pressley, and I’m really excited to explore this world further.

I haven't read anything by Rachel Van Dyken and after this book I'm kicking myself because this book was filled with all the feels! I completely and wholly fell in love with Trevor and Penelope's story! How could you go wrong with one sexy single rockstar dad of three fiesty, lovable kids? You can't, just not possible. Trevor and Penelope were two lost souls looking for a fresh start, not expecting to find that start in one another. I can honestly say page after page I was charmed by the kids, entertained by the bandmates and breathless by the relationship that transpired with Trevor and Penelope. Let this story steal your heart like it's stolen mine!
Hot damn. I loved this story. I think the characters were awesome. My only criticism is that book could of been longer. I would of liked more Penelope's background. If the answer was in prior books, that's not fair. This can be a standalone but author left us with a few single guys who beg to find a relationship!! So more, Rachel!! What was Penny running from? She was a teacher? Why? How come we don't see her much with the friend she moved to be by.....more!!
4.5 stars https://amzn.to/2Y1z3z0 All Stars Fall by Rachel Van Dyken was just WOW..... from the moment I read this single dad blurb I was like heck yeah I want to read that, from the minute I read the opening line I was like OMG I do not want to put this book down.
Penelope and Trevor's slow burn was so perfect for them. He is a Dad dealing with a life he never imagine and trying to navigate single fatherhood while still making music 🎶 the music that feeds his soul and it an outlet for his emotions.
The author rocks (no pun intended) Trevor's three young children, Bella, Eric and Malcolm. Each is dealing on their own terms with the departure of their mother, each has their own relationship with their father (some of the banter here is epic) and each bond with Penny, their new Nanny in their own way.
I want to make sure to mention, it is very clear that Penelope and Trevor have an attraction one that is not about her caring for the children and "playing house." The connection between these to bleeds off the pages even as they try to resist it.
The use of Trevor's bandmates as well done and added to the story as I felt it helped the reader understand him better.
The ending of this book put my heart in throat, no not silly drama really deep emotions and compassion for three small humans.
This book left me with a giant smile on my face as the epilogue had my heart happy and my face with a grin from ear to ear.
Ps now I want to know more about Drew, Trevor's band-mate so I guess this Crossover did what it was meant to do expose me to a new series I now want to read!

This was a pretty decent read and fast pace.. idk if this is apart of a series i got this book as a blind date book read..
We meet rockstar single dad Trevor (31) and well he has had a rough year his 3 kids are alot and every nanny they scare away, burn or set the house on fire!! All 3 miss there mom so thats why they act up. But Trev is trying and he meets Penelope (27) at the coffee shop she works in being sweet and caring towards his kids.. so he hires her plus he feels something towards her but fights it since shes the new nanny. Penelope and the three kids are adorable together.. i did wish she had more time with Eric but lil guy was more guarded, sexual tension between her and trev was high he sent her mixed signals... then pushed her away to go on a date with his bandmember.... Penelope and Drew date was fun.. they already knew they were for one another Penelope likes/loves Trevor and Drew just likes to annoy Trev lol and was glad to make trev jealous.
Beside that thr only other drama was the ex wife.. who made Penelope think she was back to win her family.. but it was messy.. poor kids shouldn't see that.. beside that it was a pretty good book.
Slight ow drama & no om drama, No cheating, secondary charas, little steam, no virgins semi-manwhoreish

Not really sure how this is part of the Big Sky series, but I can see it being a perfect novella for just the Seaside series.
I haven’t read any of the Seaside series by RVD but this book makes me want to. I am guessing we will get the bands HEA’s in that series.
Trevor is really sweet and having a hard time with his kids which he loves to pieces. And then her, the woman who is totally sweet and everything he didn’t know he needed. I loved it. It wasn’t too deep, we had our series moments but it was a great little HEA.
I really enjoyed the narration, both narrators brought something to the characters and I loved that.

Seriously my biggest takeaway from this book is that Rachel should write kids more often! This rockstar, single dad, falls for the nanny romance hit all the right notes with me (see what I did there😉). This book tugged at my heartstrings and had me wanting to scoop everyone up and shower them with love. This might be a novella but I didn't feel shortchanged at all - I know some people shy away from novellas because they are afraid they won't be getting a full story, not the case here at all. I finished this book feeling so satisfied, so happy and with my heart filled to overflowing!
All Stars Falls by Rachel Van Dyken was the perfect novella and addition to Kristen Proby’s Crossover Series. Rachel has penned a seriously sexy story of a famous rockstar falling for the nanny.
When Penelope moves to Seaside, Oregon from Cunningham Falls, Montana she never expects to meet a famous sexy rocker. Nevermind one that she used to have posters of pinned up on her wall of as a teenager!
Trevor meets Penelope in a small cafe she is working in and after a bad string of babysitters he can’t count on convinces her to become the nanny for his 3 children.
Trevor tries to stay away from Penelope until he cannot resist her any longer and then they fall hard and fast. He writes a song about falling for her and I bawled! This was so, so good!
I am going back to read the rest of this series ASAP!
After his ex-wife leaves them, rockstar Trevor Wood uproots his life and his children moving to Seaside, Oregon.
A chance meeting with Penelope in a coffee shop has Trevor convincing her to interview to be his childrens’ part time nanny.
After the NDA is signed, Penny realises that she may have signed up for more than she can handle.
Penny is great with the children and they are just too cute. The characters were easy to relate to and totally likeable. Trevor is an awesome single dad and the relationship he has with his children was heart warming.
The chemistry between Trevor and Penny is intense and I loved how it blossomed into so much more.
All Stars Fall is well written and kept me engaged from the first to the last chapter.
Seaside Pictures is one of my favorite series by Rachel, don't worry I have few others. But her stories are like candy, I can never get enough of them. I'll forever have a love/hate with novellas especially when they're a part of a series I adore because I'm always wishing for them to be longer. All Stars Fall is one of those examples, loved every minute of this read and it had me wanting to re-read this series!
I love it when a book has a few tropes that I absolutely love like single dad/parent and I've been on a rockstar romance kick. And there's the falling for the nanny, it's not my favorite trope, but it worked so well in this one.
Thankfully this series is getting better with each book. This was fast, fun and sexy. I love books where the h can change the He's mind about love and marriage and take his children under her wing. Super cute!
So excited to head back to Seaside! And All Stars Fall brings back all the fun of the Seaside gang plus the heart of romance with Penny and Trevor.
My heart melted reading Trevor's story. A single dad who is just trying to make it day by day while his kids are trying to make it through the day without all the emotional damage of their mom leaving. Penelope moved from Montana to Seaside for a fresh start. She never imagined she would be watching the kids of the guy whose poster hung on her wall when she was a teen.
Penny was just what Trevor's family needed. Her love for Bella, Malcolm and Eric had me in tears. This book is full of emotions and heart and what a great pairing- bringing Penny from Kristen's world into the Seaside Gang!
Penelope left Cunningham Falls, Montana for Seaside, Oregon in search of an adventure and a fresh start. She never expected to meet a rock star, much less the one she used to have posters of on her wall. Becoming his nanny was an unexpected happy accident. Falling in love with his precocious kids desperately in need of attention, understanding, and stability was inevitable.
But acting on her attraction to to the hot, overwhelmed, rock god Dad is so off limits. But it is hard to resist when said sexy drummer looks at her like that and also gets jealous. But she is just the hired help. And the kids need a stable home. And there are just so many reasons to say no...but there are other body parts saying yes, yes, yes.
I loved Trevor. He is not the typical rock star, but is also a caring, frazzled, and sometimes awkward single dad. He tries so hard, but always seems to come up short. He is a man trying to work on an album, manage a band, run a household, and deal with three active and emotional hurt kids under the age of six. In this story not only does the hero have abandonment issues, but so do his kids making it a fragile emotional situation. But Penny is just such a breath of fresh air and makes everything look so easy. They just have that sexual tension and chemistry getting in the way...and the whole forbidden nanny scenario.
Can Penny and Trevor find a way to make a permanent happy home or will she be forced to leave them too if something goes wrong?
This brings back all the Seaside inhabitants including Trevor's band, Adrenaline, AD2, and the other couples that we have met in other books. It's another small town with lots of charm, and a group that has made their own extended family. Penny is also related to Dani from a previous book. Since it is a novella it moves pretty quickly, but I still found myself emotionally attached to these characters.

Single dads, nannies, and Seaside Oh My!… Let me just start by saying that I’ve read both the Seaside Pictures series by Rachel and the Big Sky series by Kristen. This novella has no issue standing on it’s own but is most definitely enriched with the cameos from previous characters that we always love to see. Veterans of the Seaside series will most definitely appreciate it (*hint *hint).
So onto the main event of Trevor and Penny. I’m not going to lie, nannies and single dads always worry me. Will I like it? Will it be creepy? I ended up absolutely adoring Penny. She was the kind of character you envision as a great best friend. You’re rooting for her the entire time. She never got whiny or childish which I really appreciated. Trevor was moderately frustrating- but in the best of ways. I definitely yelled at him to get his act together more than once. It helps that he’s a smokin’ hot rock-star and doesn’t know how to keep his shirt on. I’m just saying. And the kids! GAH!! They make you want to snatch them up and keep them!
The witty, playful banter that’s been prevalent throughout the series is on point and I can never get enough of those Seaside men. This was a great snippet into the Seaside world. I highly recommend jumping right in!
That’s the short of it. I’m being purposefully vague because no one wants to be a ruiner of all the things. Just read it. Do it. You’ll thank me. I promise.
Penelope decides to move to Seaside, Oregon for a fresh start, and she promptly finds herself with not one, but two jobs. Barista by day and nanny to the three adorable children of a rock star by night, she has her hands full... and she wouldn't trade that for anything.
After his wife left him and their children, Trevor Wood is working hard to make life for his kids as normal as possible. But, while he is at a loss as how he can do it all on his own, a coffeeshop barista jumps in to save the day... and he immediately decides that he can't live without her help.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All Stars Fall was a sweet and heartwarming novella featuring a rock star who finds everything he needs in his newest hire, who he absolutely should not make a move on... definitely not.
Penelope has the biggest heart imaginable, and when she sees Trevor's kids in need of help, she doesn't think twice about jumping in and making things right. It isn't until later that she realizes just who Trevor is... and just how attracted she is to him.
Trevor is the drummer for the boy band Adrenaline, and since he grew up unconventially while on the road, his devotion to his family is something that he doesn't take lightly. Hiring Penelope to watch his kids while he works on his music is the best decision he has made in a long time... despite his inconvenient attraction to her. And it isn't long before her complete selflessness and her love for his kids adds even more stakes to his already complicated life.
I loved the characters and story introduced in this novella, and as usual with a great story, I was left wanting more from Penelope and Trevor! This book was charming, entertaining and had just enough drama to keep things interesting.
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
