All Stars Fall: A Seaside Pictures/Big Sky Novella (Kristen Proby Crossover Collection Book 6) Kindle Edition
She left.
Two words I can't really get out of my head.
She left us.
Three more words that make it that much worse.
Three being another word I can't seem to wrap my mind around.
Three kids under the age of six, and she left because she missed it. Because her dream had never been to have a family, no her dream had been to marry a rockstar and live the high life.
Moving my recording studio to Seaside Oregon seems like the best idea in the world right now especially since Seaside Oregon has turned into the place for celebrities to stay and raise families in between touring and producing. It would be lucrative to make the move, but I'm doing it for my kids because they need normal, they deserve normal. And me? Well, I just need a break and help, that too. I need a sitter and fast. Someone who won't flip me off when I ask them to sign an Iron Clad NDA, someone who won't sell our pictures to the press, and most of all? Someone who looks absolutely nothing like my ex-wife.
He's tall.
That was my first instinct when I saw the notorious Trevor Wood, drummer for the rock band Adrenaline, in the local coffee shop. He ordered a tall black coffee which made me smirk, and five minutes later I somehow agreed to interview for a nanny position. I couldn't help it; the smaller one had gum stuck in her hair while the eldest was standing on his feet and asking where babies came from. He looked so pathetic, so damn sexy and pathetic that rather than be star-struck, I took pity. I knew though; I knew the minute I signed that NDA, the minute our fingers brushed and my body became insanely aware of how close he was—I was in dangerous territory, I just didn't know how dangerous until it was too late. Until I fell for the star and realized that no matter how high they are in the sky—they're still human and fall just as hard.

This book is part of the Kristen Proby Crossover collection and it's written by Rachel Van Dyken.
This book follows Penelope as she moves to Seaside, Oregon from Montana. She's hoping for a change of pace and adventures. Really, she was the only one of her friends that hadn't found anyone to settle down with, so she didn't feel like she belonged there anymore. She's a teacher, but takes a job as a barista to get her settled. On her very first day Trevor Wood comes into the shop looking very frazzled. At first she doesn't recognize him, but she slowly figures out that he's the drummer for the band Adrenaline. Just so happens, Penelope had a poster of him up in her room when she was younger.
Trevor is trying to raise 3 kids under the age of 7 by himself and maintain his sanity. He hasn't been too successful because he kids have run off every nanny he's hired. They're hurting though, due to their mother abandoning them for a better lifestyle - in her opinion. Trevor is hurt by her betrayal, but more for what it did to his kids. When he comes into the coffee shop on the second day, he has the kids with him. Penelope interacts with them on a level Trevor has never seen. So, he offers her the nanny job right then and there.
This is where the meat of the story begins. The chemistry between Penelope and Trevor was off the charts!!! So HOT!!! But the chemistry between Penelope and the kids was what drew me in!!! They were so amazing together! There was so much inner turmoil with Trevor being attracted to Penny, and if it was even right for him to have feelings for the nanny. Penelope was a lot stronger then she gave herself credit for! She handled the children, the house, her other job, and Trevor beautifully!!
The secondary characters were amazing and very helpful to the story. Loved them all!!
I can't say enough how much I loved this book!!!! I loved it so much that I'm going to check out all of the Big Sky books by RVD ASAP!!!! PLEASE, READ THIS BOOK!!!! You won't be disappointed!!

A good looking couple in a close, somewhat intimate pose grace the cover. Dual font title is easy to read. Author’s name is readily visible. Simple yet attractive cover composition caught the eye which prompted me to read the synopsis. I loved the synopsis, it sounded sweet, funny and sexy. PreOrdered without a second thought.
POV ~> Alternating first person pov.
Trevor is the drummer in the band Adrenaline and single dad to three kiddos under the age of five. Twins, Malcom and Eric, and little Bella. The kids are acting out, still missing their mom after she abandoned the four of them one day without hardly a backward glance. Trevor’s still reeling and trying to balance his life.
Penelope’s new in town. She left Montana for a new start. Working as a barista in a small town, she never imagined becoming a rockstar's nanny as well but that’s exactly what happens after her middle school crush walks through the coffee shop doors with the young n’s in-tow, looking exhausted and defeated.
Life’s not perfect but it is a whole heap better when they’re working it out together. Throw in some bandmates and it adds a bit more fun to the mix.
Great adult chemistry between the leads. The kids are cute but chaotic. There are a few hiccups along the way that need resolving, which is done timely and in a believable manner. The plot was enjoyable and easy to read. Smooth, seamless timeline kept the pages turning. Predictability was low. The conclusion was solid.
This was the first piece that I’ve read in over five years by Van Dyken and enjoyed this one MUCH more than the last, to the point where I am extremely tempted to backtrack to read the other stories – which I should say is NOT necessary, but there are a few minor secondary characters that you can tell had stories written already but because they do not have a huge role in this book, a new reader will not feel lost or like they are missing something crucial to the story.

Trevor looked at Penelope as if all of his wishes had been granted. He had been blessed with an angel who was sent to him to care for his children and add some normalcy to his life. He was caught up in her bubbly personality, carefree attitude and how she so quickly got along with his children. His prayers had been answered and he knew he had to offer Penelope the job as his Nanny. Did it matter that she was also gorgeous and made him feel alive for the first time in years? He was certain he could keep their relationship strictly professional. Penelope wasn’t as sure as Trevor but she took the job anyway. What could possibly happen? They had his children as chaperones, so everything would be fine.
“All Stars Fall” is a emotional and positive book that I absolutely loved!! I was swept away by the deep feelings between Trevor and Penelope, both trying to find a way to make a better life for themselves. There connection was intense and romantic as well as thoughtful and sweet. This is the first book I have read in the Seaside Pictures series, and I am looking forward to reading the rest of the romantic stories.
