South-East Europe chapter of ASCOLA
(Academic Society for Competition Law)

ASCOLA South-East Europe is a regional chapter of the Academic Society for Competition Law convened by Prof. Jasminka Pecotic Kaufman, University of Zagreb-Faculty of Economics and Business and Prof. Alexandr Svetlicinii, University of Macau, as chapter co-directors. 

ASCOLA South-East Europe promotes the development and scholarly research of Competition Law on the national, supranational and international level with a special focus on the SEE jurisdictions: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia.  

It facilitates legal and economic discussion of the objectives, contents and development of Competition Law in the SEE region between countries and cultures and fosters its purpose by means of conferences and other professional activities.

Building on the expansive Judicial Review of Competition Law Enforcement in the EU: Empirical Mapping 2004-2021 project (Project), which encompasses 27 Member States and the UK, this webinar focuses on Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Lithuania, Slovenia and Poland. It reflects on much-needed empirical studies undertaken by the national rapporteurs covering all national judgments reviewing the application of Articles 101 and 102 TFEU (and domestic equivalents) during the 2004-2021 period.
