Highland Health and Social Care Services help people from all walks of life, as well as their families or carers. Health and Social Care in Highland provides help and assistance in many situations arising due to illness, disability, old age or poverty.
Two full time 35 hour Social Worker posts are available within our Lochaber Adult Social Care Team to support the integrated team providing an Enhanced Community Service. The posts are interesting and varied in nature providing a social work service across Lochaber. The Teams are busy but supportive and are looking for individuals who can work autonomously but also effectively as part of a team.
Case work will be generic in nature, interesting and varied and include clients from Transition from children’s services to Older Adult. Duties include statutory work, person centred outcome focused assessments, dealing with a managing complex situations and issues and working effectively in a multi-disciplinary way.
We are looking for enthusiastic practitioners, who have experience of working with people with a wide range of needs and are person centred and outcome focused in their approach.
Relocation package may be available for applicants moving into the area.
Applicants should be registered with the Scottish Social Services council on the ‘Social worker’ part of the register and also hold a qualification that is recognised by the SSSC as being equivalent to the Diploma in social work (DipSW).
