New UK web accessibility regulations for HE and public sector

The EU Accessibility Directive became part of UK law earlier this year and has created a new set of digital accessibility requirements for public sector organisations, including universities and other HE Institutions. These are known as the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018 and will apply to websites, apps and all aspects of the digital student and service users experience, such as Virtual Learning Environments.
