Innovation in Digital Healthcare

Professor Tony Young OBE, National Clinical Director for Innovation NHS England & Founder Clinical Entrepreneur Programme, and Bronwyn Le Grice, Founder and CEO, ANDHealth will discuss innovations in digital health on this webinar. 

As digital Health rapidly becomes one of the key sectors for research and investment, we will hear from two international leaders involved in developing the capabilities of the internet in providing the best medical outcomes for everyone. In this webinar our guest speakers will analyse the digital transformation, agility and resilience of healthcare systems as well as the growth potential of the digital health industry. They will also introduce entrepreneurs and businesses who have innovated in this space to showcase their journeys and products.

Professor Tony Young OBE, National Clinical Director for Innovation NHS England & Founder Clinical Entrepreneur Programme

Professor Tony Young is a Consultant Urological Surgeon in the NHS, working at Southend University Hospital with a PhD in Physiology from UCL. He is a serial entrepreneur, founding four MedTech start-ups. He is Director and Chair of Medical Innovation at the School of Medicine at Anglia Ruskin University, and in this role co-founded the £500m Anglia Ruskin Med-Tech Campus; a series of MedTech and advanced engineering science parks in Essex. In 2014, he was appointed as the first National Clinical Director for innovation at NHS England. In 2015, he founded the Clinical Entrepreneur Programme, which has become the world’s largest entrepreneurial training programme for clinicians.

Bronwyn Le Grice, Founder and CEO, ANDHealth 

Bronwyn has over 18 years executive experience in the health technology sector spanning venture capital, transaction management, capital raising, corporate development, investor relations and industry advocacy. Formerly an Investment Director with leading healthcare VC, BioScience Managers, Bronwyn has managed over $65M of private and public equity capital raisings and been actively involved in over $30M of portfolio investments. In 2017, Bronwyn founded ANDHealth, Australia’s only dedicated digital health accelerator & commercialisation support organisation. Now Australia’s leading health technology scale up accelerator, ANDHealth’s unique industry-led model has led to significant growth within Australia’s nascent digital health sector.

Bronwyn holds a number of health, technology and innovation advisory roles both in Australia and internationally. She has a Masters of Commercial Law from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia. These advisory roles include the NSW Cyber Security Industry Standards Harmonisation Taskforce; RMIT University Health and BioMedical Sector Expert Research Advisory Group and Swinburne University Innovation Precinct Advisory Board.
