This was a brilliant read with engaging characters and an exciting plot, set against the background of a spa town and further away, the aftermath of Napoleon’s escape from Elba. Eve and Captain Lawrence come together to solve the mysterious message that Eve’s late husband entrusted to Lawrence before his death. An entertaining read, with their heartwarming relationship at it’s centre. Highly recommended!
